So basically all xbox exclusives are going to be cross-playable on Windows? Might as well work on a decent PC instead of entertaining the idea of getting an X1 I guess.

Yes, if you want to spend more than the $299 to get into the ecosystem, you can build a PC. I've got a $650 video card and a $400 monitor I look forward to play Xbox One library on. It's not a bad thing.

This is a bummer though. I couldn't believe PS4 was doing it. I thought it was a total mistake. Now Xbox too? I don't want to sacrifice games on a slower Xbox one or slower ps4...

That makes me cancel my preorder of the Xbox slim. There is no reason why I should spend 200 bucks (after I trade in my day 1) for a console that I'm gonna upgrade in 18 mos.

If I can trade in my day 1 edition and pick up a slim for ~$100 I'll do it still, especially if there are performance gains to be had and it's the cheapest 4k UHD player on the market by $100.

Pretty solid conference, a few cringeworthy demos aside.
