Re: Sony E3 2016 Discussion Thread (Press - 6/13)
Nothing I was all that interested in, honestly. Days Gone looked like it could be decent (not sure how I feel about zombies or whatever they may be calling the enemies). No idea what to make of that Kojima game. I actually wish we were just getting Silent Hills. Dammit Konami.
The conference was good from a production standpoint, just unfortunate for me I couldn't get into what was shown.Comment

Very good conference from Sony. Started very strong. Didn't think I would be excited for a God of War game, but that Rise of the Tomb Raider vibe I got from it has me intrigued. Horizon looked great. RE7 looks interesting, having an exclusive Spiderman game is a good get, and the Kojima game is already a day 1 buy.
Most of the VR stuff was underwhelming. Don't know what the Batman thing is, FF15 looked terrible, and the Battlefront thing could be alright depending on the price. Not paying $60 for 1 mission.
Surprised they ended with Days Gone though. Wasn't that impressed by it and if I were to get a open world zombie game I'd go for Dead Rising 4 or State of Decay 2 over it though.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

That Days Gone demo was intense. The way the Zombies moved reminded me of that movie World War Z
Batman and Star Wars in VR should be awesome.
I'm excited to see how the Spiderman game turns out, it'll be nice to have a Spiderman game that isnt a adaptation of a movie.
Nice showing from Sony. I would have liked to see something from No Man's Sky, though.Comment

Re: Sony E3 2016 Discussion Thread (Press - 6/13)
I think this was a good press conference, but I'm not too interested in many of these games.
The Last Guardian has me intrigued though because of how long it has been in development, and it looks to be an emotional ride. I could use one of those amidst the guns and bullets flying all over every other non-sports title that I own.
Speaking of which, Days Gone had me until the gameplay demo. I had just finished UC1 all over again and was saying "There's no way I can shoot any creepy crawlers ever again!" Never been into the zombie thing.
I'll look into Detroit though. Never played Heavy Rain or Beyond: Two Souls (assuming it's the same company or game type at least?), so that should be okay.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Horizon demo was awesome, everything about it was great, the crafting, locking down a thing then hacking and riding it, the boss-ish fight.
Detroit was great, that was what you want from a David Cage game.
****, they were all great. I'm not going to buy into VR, but even all that stuff looked good, certainly better at selling VR than anybody else had done so far.Comment

I had hoped it would be like those old Xbox/PS2 spidey games that were awesome and I don't think were directly connected to the movies, the ones that were all open world and everything."Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Says Insomniac is doing it. Insomniac is usually solid, I'd like a Arkham type game for Spiderman instead of a move tie in though.Comment

Spiderman game was definitely movie Spidey with the active eye iris stuff and the voice sounded like that kid, but I'm not sure it's a movie tie in. One of the guys was Rhino, and isn't the enemy supposed to be Vulture in the movie?Comment

God of War, Horizon, and Detroit are for sure buys. Spiderman and Last Guardian are maybes. Resident Evil looked intriguing but I've never played a RE game I don't think. The Kojima game, I just had no idea what it was. Days Gone, I'm pretty worn out with zombies but we'll see. All the VR was pretty underwhelming except for Batman, but we saw nothing. I'm probably forgetting one or two, but it was a jam packed conference and I enjoyed it.Comment

Now, to answer some of your Daily Bugle front page questions…
Why Spider-Man? Because when Stan Lee and Steve Ditko created Peter Parker, they broke the mold of what a Super Hero could be and set the bar by which all others would be judged. And that’s exactly what we plan to do with this game: break the mold and set a new bar of greatness for Marvel Games!
Why Insomniac? Insomniac is a perfect match for Spider-Man because not only are they world class game developers that make phenomenal story-driven experiences, but they also craft games bursting with personality, humor and most importantly: fun…just like Spidey!
