Re: PS VR

While I wait (still looking for a little more improvements) to purchase Tiebreaker when it releases next month, those who are starving for another tennis alternative may have another option to think about. Tennis On-Court has been floating around since almost a year ago. It received mixed reviews when it released, and I haven't heard of new updates since it launched so, I searched for any kind of review besides the usual suspects. I came across cusman78 from Reddit who does an excellent review and breakdown. At 50% off, I jumped! Kudos to you Cusman78 on the sale

    Multi-Player

    Solo-Player

I also jumped on Into the Radius

        Re: PS VR

Haven't yet started Into the Radius which would have pissed me off if I did encounter this but, I'll wait it out as they fix issues that pop up when discovered. I'm sure not a great way for gamers to start. When will I learn my lesson about release date...lol

We've been made aware of an issue where some people experience a black screen at startup. We are working on a fix for that, but the workaround with disabling 120 Hz output should help until that:

Go to Settings - Screen and Video and change 120 Hz Output to Off.

If that doesn't help, go to Settings - Accessories - Playstation VR2 - Video Output and make sure to turn 120 Hz off here.

        Thanks for your patience!

Confirmed games Day 1 PS5 Pro support thus far. GT7 will be a stand-out during it's launch. Noticeably missing is Guerrilla/Firesprite's, Horizon-Call of the Mountain. I don't think anyone cares about Firewall Ultra but, since Sony owns it they should be included too. Hello? Sony roamers?

                      Re: PS VR

                      Sounds like everything is a go! Usually on Halloween, I'm up late so, I'm surely intrigued by this. Especially, if everything goes well during their kick off event. We'll see;

There's more, Ghost Hunters. The #Phasmophobia Halloween event “Crimson Eye” kicks off for Steam players on October 28, 2024. Console players will have access from launch on October 29, 2024.

What to Expect From Phasmophobia's Console Early Access Launch

For the uninitiated, Phasmophobia's core gameplay loop essentially plays out like an episode of Ghost Hunters, with players using a variety of tools to investigate locations where ghosts have been sighted. There are over a dozen locations for players to visit, each one with a unique layout and one of 24 different ghost types for players to discover within those locations. To succeed at a ghost hunt in Phasmophobia, players must correctly identify the ghost type in the location using their equipment and the process of elimination.

Once players arrive at a location, their first objective requires them to search a building to find the ghost's favorite room, which is usually indicated by paranormal events like flipping light switches and exploding light bulbs. Upon discovering a ghost's favorite room in Phasmophobia, players will then use various equipment brought with them to identify the ghost — like a Spirit Box, which allows them to communicate with the ghost, and a Video Camera, which helps them spot ghost orbs. As this equipment is used, players will be able to take note of their effectiveness — or lack thereof — in a journal until they've narrowed down the ghost's type.

Several features are also changing or being added to Phasmophobia's console port, affecting things like voice recognition and controls. Firstly, Phasmophobia's console port will feature noise detection, which means if players speak into their mics, the game's ghosts will be alerted to the noise. However, unlike the PC version of Phasmophobia, the console edition will not feature voice recognition at launch, meaning the ghosts will not be able to understand players. Additionally, there will be full haptic feedback implemented into the PlayStation 5 DualSense controller, though there will be no adaptive trigger functionality.

Phasmophobia is launching on console early access on October 29, 2024, but some things are going to be a bit different from its current PC version.

I got the Pro mainly for VR so I tested 2 games, No Man's Sky and Kayak VR Mirage and yes, there's a big difference between this and the base model.

For Kayak, just the color and texture of the water is so much clearer. Another huge difference is at night where the textures feel more natural. Just incredibly done.

                                Spoiler

As for NMS, it just gets better. Remember when you start zooming across the galaxy in previous starts? Here, I think I only encountered one time a hiccup in the framerate. The draw distance and clarity is amazing. I'm still new to the recent upgrade so visually, this is just stunning at the moment...lol.

                                Spoiler

I have GT7 sitting in the queue now since this bad boy has 2TB. At the moment, there's no pro vr patch. The pro locks in 4k/120 now but I can't wait to try this in vr with all the bells and whistles.

Some other notables. the ear pieces that comes with the headset seems to have gotten an audio boost. I was shocked how well it sounded.

The PSVR2 headset setup has much improved player setup and the Sense Controllers are labeled R and L which makes the whole procedure now very user friendly.
