    Re: PS VR

I am just curious, did RE7 become a "system seller" for PSVR to anyone here? I feel like that game, right now, is the premier experience on PSVR. PSVR made that game so much better for me, personally. I know a lot of review sites gave it VR integration props but I didn't read anything about sales rising due to RE7 or not

Nice to see you back JB. For me, the "system seller", was taking the demo last summer. I was floored how much different from a gaming perspective it all was. Not a fan of 1st person perspective but with a 360° world, I was able to see everything more clearly around me. Can you imagine playing Battlefield 1 in VR perspective? Cool thing is there are some games now, and in the future that we'll be able to play in 3rd-person too. I still enjoy regular gaming, but I love VR gaming. Hearing that War Thunder was going to be one of the available titles when VR launched had me wanting it day one since I play it daily. So, that I guess was the game seller for me. Well, that has happened yet.

I was never a fan of the resident evil franchises so I wasn't interested in it. Hearing how everyone has raved about it has me thinking though. It has definitely received higher praises. At the moment I'm heavily into my sports franchises and other storied-games to keep me busy so the wait for my "VR killer", will hopefully eventually happen soon with the other heavy hitters coming later this year. Also, still hoping for a War Thunder VR patch.

Do you have any of the other headsets too? (HTC or Oculus)

Yeah, I'm not sure any single title has really been a system seller more than simply trying it and playing a couple of games. The experience is what sells it. Hard to say what it will take for a piece of software to do the same.

My favorite titles on the Vive are still the demos. The Lab that Valve created is incredible.

        Video doesn't do this justice.

I could use a more fleshed out version of this.

Would love to play a game like Factorio in VR.

My favorite game is probably still hollowpoint.

Same here, I just updated my PS4 and hooked it back up to watch Blu rays while laying in bed. I can't get over the design flaw for PSVR and HDR on the Pro or I'd keep it hooked up to it. I hadn't played mine since early December.

Interview with producer Kazutoki Kono regarding Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown

As Kono explains, you can’t play the whole of Ace Combat 7 in VR but it does contain a number of special missions that are designed specifically for PlayStation VR.

The potential for VR in general has barely been tapped at all, but it’s experiences like this that prove what a game-changer it can really be. We don’t know what the rest of Ace Combat 7 is going to be like, but we can say that the VR missions alone make this one of our most anticipated games of the year.

Sony’s China Hero Project (which supports developers in the country) has announced 9 new games for the PS4 including 3 for VR.

"The trailer shows off a lot of gameplay set in highly detailed environments. A player first uses a gun to take down minion-like enemies, but also slashes with a knife for melee combat. Bigger enemies introduce themselves later on and you can infuse your weapons with special powers to help bring them down."

The trailer is using concept art, but a VR experience showing data all around the world is an intriguing concept. Expect elements of survival horror, based on the end of the clip."

                                I'm hearing positive feedback from the reddit forums from those who have played it and also from gaming sites who are in progress with their reviews. Many are saying its similar to Rigs. Here is a closing caption from UpLoadVR;

But the real thrills of Starblood so far have been in the chase. Coming under fire and ducking into a rocky cavern in a map set inside a cave has a wonderful fluidity to it. It’s much more preferable to the many moments where everyone meets in the middle of the map to unload their ammunition, and the winner likely the one lucky enough not to be noticed. As you play, you’ll level up pilots individually to unlocks mods that might give you the edge depending on how you like to play, but crucially also introduce restrictions to keep things fair.

While we might not have had enough time with the competitive online modes yet, we were able to test out Starblood’s co-op offerings and, frankly, they’re my favorite bits of the game so far. You and up to three friends can defend three bases from waves of increasingly difficult enemies that you won’t find in any other mode. There’s a sense of structure here that I haven’t been able to pin down in the game’s main modes yet; the coordination it took between me and a friend to survive as long as possible had me holding my breath as I quickly boosted out of frag fests and then seconds later heroically swooped back in with a charged shield to clear our the scraps and revive my ally. It felt great.

                                https://uploadvr.com/starblood-arena...newfound-star/

I've been itching for a good VR game to play with for awhile now. Need to have patience since I have 2 games pre-ordered coming out next month.
