My most anticipated 2018 VR game is Ace Combat 7. Been hearing lots of positives from vr testers.

Rec Room seeking Beta Testers to play against PC VR players

Developer Against Gravity announced on Reddit that they’re bringing Rec Room, their virtual reality social hub that’s filled with plenty of full-fledged multiplayer offerings like paintball, charades, and more, is coming to PlayStation VR in the fourth quarter of 2017. The title has been available in Early Access on Steam, and is currently playable on HTC Vive and Oculus Rift.

Eve Valkyrie has gone through major changes with the new Warzone update. There's quite a number of changes which includes graphics upgrade, new ship designs, and additional play modes. The most important feature is for the first time, cross-play between VR and non-vr players is now playable on PC and PS4. Relaod does a nice job of reviewing all of the changes in the game.

If you're like me, you probably lasted a total of 10 minutes with RIGS before nausea started kicking in. There's a recommendation gaining steam that has been helpful to many from a poster, logan_izer10 on reddit. Will attempt and give feedback.

So I'm a day 1 PSVR and RIGS owner and I wanted to throw out a little bit of advice since RIGS is going to PS+ today!
RIGS can be a heavy VR experience for a lot of you, but don't let that detract you from the amazing game that it is. The tutorial they have in the game is such garbage that I've seen it scare some close friends away from the game. For some reason, the tutorial is by far the most nauseating part of the game. I've heard it's not the same for everyone, but at least when I started, it had the Turn-Using-Head mechanic on. This is super nauseating and should be disabled ASAP. Furthermore, the mini game tutorials are also nauseating, I believe it's in part due to the fact that it's in a tiny arena that requires so much turning. I believe you can just skip these, if not just will yourself through them because the regular game won't be this bad, trust me.
This tip isn't for everyone, but try disabling all comfort settings. I personally found that they made it more nauseating for me. I understand this is often very dependent on the user, but at least give it a shot.
Lastly, turn on traditional FPS controls where you turn using the right stick. Once you've done this, crank the turn speed up to full and then dial back one by one until you see the least amount of discomfort. Ultimately, I find faster turn speeds are actually easier on the eyes. When you think about how your head turns in real-life, it's quite fast. Your head doesn't always necessarily turn super fast, but your eyes always do. And in VR, you're actually relying on the fast turn speed, rather than your eye shifting around because you don't have focus on the outer rim of the FOV. Just don't give up based on the first hour, because it's not as frantic and uncomfortable as the tutorial makes it out to be.
TLDR: Enable Turn-With-Right-Stick. Crank turn speed up, dial back 1 by 1 until perfect. Don't be turned off by the game's tutorial. See you online!

Alvo confirmed for 2018 will support cross play and the aim controller

Scheduled to launch sometime in 2018 for all three platforms, Alvo is a purely online first-person shooter (FPS) in a similar mold to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, featuring three gameplay modes: Search and Destroy, Free 4 All and Domination.

Search and Destroy, is a 5 vs 5 round-based mode, where one team attempts to plant a bomb whilst the other team needs to defend the sites and/or defuse the bomb. In Domination teams have to capture specific control points all over the map, and hold them for as long as possible. This gains the team points with the winner accruing the most. While Free 4 All is fairly self explanatory, kill everyone, no one is your friend.

Target sells the PSVR headset on its own for $300. A Target Cartwheel coupon this week cuts its price by 25%, bringing it down to $225 before tax. Some observations on some of the games recently released.

<b>Megaton Rainfall</b> : Incredibly FUN. Turning out to be a VR favorite. It's superman meets War of the Worlds. Something that's different which is what I was hoping for. At the $15.99 price, a steal.


<b>Fishing Master</b> : Not as detailed or sim offerings as Fishing Planet. Enjoyed the soft jazz music in the background, kick back in your chair and pretend your under the GSBridge. The detail and torque on the rod from your catch is done well. Water also looked good. Simple arcade play tutorial gets you started and its free.


<b>Gran Truismo Sport</b> : Don't have the game but played it at a cousins home. Much better than DriveClub. However, very disappointed in the bare bones offered by Polyphony Digital. You would think they would help spruce up VR especially with this title but they played it safe and gave very little. Again, very disappointing on the amount of content offered.


<b>The Invisible Hour</b> : Another game I don't have but is on my list as a must get when on sale. The $30 price tag is a little to steep for my liking. The game is receiving high praises on the social networks as a top-notch murder mystery story that sounds incredibly gripping and well written.

Downloaded the NextVr app to watch the live free NBA broadcast between the Mavs and Rockets. Some thoughts.

If you have PSVR and you're a sports fan, or music band fan you owe it to yourself to download this free app. When working right (I'll get to that later) I was experiencing TV sports viewing in a totally new way. I was there with the press team watching them do interviews with D'Antoni in the hallways. Sitting with the players in the Houston locker room. Sitting at Press Level during player introductions. During game action, I was sitting mid-court. Free throws and action under the basket, I'm sitting at the top of the rim or next to it. Just an amazing way of viewing a game.

The bad part. Their servers were getting hammered consistently and I was constantly getting bumped off of their servers. NextVr was just recently released to the PS Store and is a leader in Live VR broadcasting. They advertised a free NBA game and the PS owners are tuning in. Hope they can work out some of the kinks with their servers before the Brooklyn game next week that's scheduled. Towards the end of the 1st, it was better but I disconnected because I wanted to watch Game 7.

Try it out now even though the Rockets are hammering the Mavs. Love to hear more feedback.

Fishing Master has been released for $19.99. If you're a fisherman with VR it's a no-brainer. I think it's offering 3 different locations at the moment. I may jump on it once they add a patch to include the 2nd move controller where you would use it to reel in your catch. The feel and pull with the one move controller works really well in the immersion.
