CCP done w/ VR after making it a point of emphasis and developing EVE Valkyrie, goes through a round of layoffs.

Not surprised. Since End Space, many have flocked over. Here, you get a story-driven game and almost half the price. I also feel some studios do VR encounters better than others.

SPARC is an interesting and sad lost. This may mean SPARC will be released as a free PS+ game soon to save it.

Resident Evil 7 biohazard DLC 'Not A Hero' will be released on 12th December, 2017.

PlayStation VR owners will get some additional extras, however, since Not A Hero features PlayStation VR compatibility. Players will take the role of Chris Redfield as he tries to hunt down Lucas and encounters the horrific aftermath of the events of Resident Evil 7 biohazard‘s main story. Redfield is trying to find the rest of his team, who have been captured and are facing awful fates in the dungeons below the decrepit plantation. Redfield will face new enemies and encounter gory situations as he continues on his hunt for Lucas to end the bloody reign of the murderous Baker family.

New Farpoint DLC Expansion Pack Update v1.08 Announced by Impulse Gear

FARPOINT - VERSUS EXPANSION PACK - UPDATE 1.08
Announcing the Versus Expansion Pack — This free update brings the most requested user feature, by far, player vs player to Farpoint. The Versus Expansion Pack supports 1v1 gameplay with different enemy AI teammates that the player can spawn and use strategically to gain an advantage.

There are two PvP game modes, Deathmatch and Uplink. In Uplink, communication relays are dropped into the play area that the player must capture and hold to gain points. Killing the other player and enemy AI will also award points.
For both Deathmatch and Uplink, it is a round based system. You need to win 2 out of 3 rounds on each map to be declared the winner. Each round takes place in a different/separate area of the map so you need to learn the layout of each area to master a map. 3 new PvP maps (with 3 areas each) are included in the Versus Expansion Pack.

<b>In addition to the PvP game mode, the following new features are included in the Versus Expansion Pack:</b>
- Player XP progression system with unlockable skins
- Weapon XP progression system with 15 new weapons to unlock.
- Chaos difficulty Co-Op games are significantly more chaotic.
- Easily crouch while sitting using the crouch button toggle.
- New turning comfort settings (yes, they can all be disabled).
- New trophies.
- Various bug fixes and improvements.

Statement from CCP (SPARC Devs) regarding its future

By now, we expect you’ve heard the news that CCP is making some tough, but necessary, changes to its company strategy and structure. This includes the closure of CCP’s Atlanta studio.

What does this mean for our unique virtual sport, Sparc? Well, rest assured that the game you’re playing today isn’t going anywhere any time soon and that you’ll still be able to meet and compete online in Sparc for the foreseeable future. Our servers will remain up, so even players who are only just joining Sparc’s community will be able to enjoy the game for many months to come.

For those of you waiting to hear about Sparc’s release on platforms beyond PlayStation VR, we’ll be confirming our plans very soon, where “soon” equals days, not weeks.

All that remains to be said is that it has been an incredible adventure - a voyage of discovery, even - creating Sparc for you. We broke new ground and delivered a game that fulfilled many of our sci-fi inspired childhood dreams. As CCP’s CEO Hilmar Veigar Pétursson said, “We still believe in the transformative power of virtual reality, not just on gaming, but eventually on society as a whole. Unfortunately, the market for VR games has not materialized how we had hoped.”

Good news for SPARC players as game base should increase soon with multi-platform competition.

Originally released for PlayStation VR back in August, Sparc will now arrive for the PC-based head-mounted displays (HMDs) on 16th November.

Some info on "Blood And Truth", inspired by "The London Heist" by Sony London Studio. How they've polished all aspects from their first game and, how they're hoping to deliver a new AAA played experience.

“This guy is an ex-soldier who has had to come back to London because of family drama and he gets sucked back in, stuck in a gang rivalry between family and another group.

The cinematic, audio, writing are all much better, the dialog pulls you into the world, making you pay attention instead of looking for a way to skip the cutscene.

“We’re also trying to create these big action sequences,” he says. “We want interactive and immersive story-telling. We wanted to point you to big action, set pieces, something we didn’t have in The London Heist.”

In my gameplay, that means I had a moment where I ran down a hall and lept through a window in slow motion or was able to pick off bad guys with my gun as I ran through an area.

All of this extra effort results in what he and his team are considering a second-wave game.

“The initial wave was about interesting mechanics, this is about a triple-A, fully fledged title,” Oates says. “We wanted to make sure that the story really worked, that it was fleshed out, that it worked as a narrative.”

The final version of the game will be a “full-length title,” Oates says.

Did anyone grab Skyrim VR? It's good to see positive reviews from vr gaming critics. It also has many in the VR community rehashing a great game in a new way. Sounds like Bethesda did well. I'm sure we'll be seeing more past games come back to life through VR.

I downloaded the demo disc 2 and played a handful of games. Each lasting about 10 mins. Without a doubt, the star was Quill, a mouse in a game called Moss. Not really sure if its a male or female but you'll do puzzles and help Quill on its adventure. Loved the way the mouse interacts with you and how it animates amazingly lifelike. Children are going to love it. Woman will adore it. Men will appreciate it's swash-buckling swordsman skills. If priced accordingly, Moss could be an instant hit. Not "the system seller," but PSVR's first beloved character.

Liked Star Child which was similar to Moss in gameplay. Liked Raw Data and the gun play. Wasn't crazy about "The Persistence" but will give it another go.

You may want to start with Resident Evil which most likely will win best VR game for 2017. Also, Until Dawn's Rush of Blood is available now for free for PS+ users is also recommended. There is many to choose from in the store.

<b>How to manually set your IPD in PS VR</b>

Well, I had to try it. Not sure if its a placebo effect but it does ever so slightly improve visual clarity. Will try again with other games. For the record, my IPD is 56 mm and Megaton Rainfall did look better but I also received a patch for it and not sure what it was for. Still, ya gotta love geeks!

Unlike the Oculus Rift and the HTC Vive, PlayStation VR doesn't have a slider or a dial on it that lets you physically set the interpupillary distance (IPD) in your headset. Instead, PSVR has software that takes a picture of your face and lets you move crosshairs onto your eyes. The rest is all handled automatically. Unfortunately, this process isn't quite exact, and it might take you quite a few tries to actually get it right.

Why worry about IPD? If it isn't right, your image can be blurry, resulting in eye strain and headaches. To get the perfect IPD and a perfect image, Reddit user Vlaid created a chart that shows how to manually (yet not physically) change the interpupillary distance in PlayStation VR. It works great and is much more precise than relying on the software.
