I'm sure they're concerned about number of PS5 units sold, parts, and logistics. I still think they're going to release it despite these concerns because if they want to be relevant in the AR/VR field then they need to join the party. Developers are no longer creating for PSVR. Capcom's Resident Evil Village is supposedly with the VR exclusive and there are other AAA titles rumored for the launch. It would be criminal for them to forgo this while VR/AR is hot;
By leaving current PSVR players (5M) holding the bag with nothing would be even more damaging I believe. I do think they'll hit 25M PS5 units by next winter which should at least give them a strong base to start. It's the chips and logistics that seems to be the main issues, and it's looking like they're working on that chip issues at the moment which seems to be in the works.
