Still not sure about the PSVR, I've wanted a Sony HMZ for some years now but couldn't justify the £800.00 cost.

When PSVR was announced as having similar functionality in it's cinematic mode I immediately preordered.

I'm now at a point where the cinematic mode has had poor reviews & I'm in two minds on keeping my preorder.

Is Cinematic mode as bad as has been reported ?

What do you want to know about cinematic mode? I only played one game on it. Didn't try a movie.

I talked a little about it above but I'll go more into detail on Cinematic mode.

There's 3 screen sizes small, regular and large. It's basically like a movie theater. You will see the screen and then it's black outside of the screen.

I played Rocket League and there was a loss of graphics but it wasn't bad to me but like I said earlier I'm not a big graphics guy. I didn't notice a drop in frames per second. Most of the text was easy to read. Just small text is difficult.

I did feel a little weird after playing Rocket League but I also hadn't ate yet and got little sleep last night so that is probably why I felt like that. I was fine during actual VR games earlier.

I wouldn't buy the VR just for cinematic mode. It's just a larger screen up close with slightly worse graphics. You don't get a 360 view or anything like that.

One thing that's pretty cool about the VR and what can make cinematic mode worth it is you don't need the tv to be on to play it. My wife was watching Hulu on the tv through the fire tv while I played. All the tv does is display what you're seeing.

Also over the ear headphones should work fine. My ATH-m40 worked perfectly.

I'm struggling with my decision to pick mine up tomorrow night. I've used the PSVR and I'm still undecided. I know its your opinion, I just need someone to push off the fence.

I haven't played any legit games yet. Just some mini games on the Playroom VR but yes I would say it's legit and I would buy it if I didn't win. It's a helluva experience for the first time.

The resolution doesn't bother me. I'm not a big graphics guy but it was better than I expected. I'd say around DVD quality maybe better.

The immersion is what sets VR apart from normal gaming and the PSVR is excellent at that. It's hard to explain and something you have to try yourself.

I've read reports that the graphics on cinematic mode are somewhere between PS2 & PS3,is this a fact or would you disagree.

Have you tried a Blu Ray,does it also lose resolution?

I haven't tried a movie yet but when I played Rocket League there wasn't much resolution difference. I'll have to play around with it some more tomorrow to give you a better answer. I wanna try PS Vue with it too.

Crytek has announced that Robinson: The Journey will officially launch on November 8 in the US and Canada, and November 9 in Europe.

Yes! Already have it preprdered. I know I'll make more use of the PS Pro, but I'm a sucker for new stuff. With time ticking down until midnight launch....I'm leaning toward not getting it.

I'm the same I'll probably cancel my preorder & spend the cash on a Pro.

Although that means I need to drop £1000 on a new HDR TV........

I just got a 65" Samsung KS9000 and its pretty good for gaming. Forza 3 looks awesome on the One S

£2200 in the U.K..........huge list of Tec features though,looks nice too.
