Re: Nintendo Switch Announced, Scheduled to Release March 2017

All I heard was the frame rate was a little off for Zelda Switch. But don't think anyone's played the WiiU version and it's based off the trailer.

Re: Nintendo Switch Announced, Scheduled to Release March 2017

Im excited for Zelda. I wanted a true new Zelda for Wii U but got a WindWaker and Twilight Princess HD. TP I never played through and wind waker is arguably one of the best games ever made. And the TP remaster was better than any other fan made retexture we could have played on dolphin so it was def a welcome addition.

      BUT

If we're talking the "switch" and the reveal content it was lackluster.

Zelda HAD TO BE a launch title no prolonged date til the end of the reveal conference was going to hold any more suspense for it(and it dragged as did the "no launch lineup news)

Mario kart NOT being a launch title is baffling.

Xenoblade 2 great move fans of the wii version one REALLY deserve this as i am one of them adored XC on Wii but hated X with a PASSION

Mario is back to being a 3rd person sandbox adventure in "worlds" so that is perfect.

I think switch at day one is simply and absolutely only for two kinds of ppl.

1)Those that want to play Zelda as soon as possible and dont have a wii u or traded it in

      and 2

      2)scaplers

Zelda OOT was a Nintendo 64 game with Majora's Mask also an N64 game. Gamecube was Twilight Princess. As much of a classic as OOT is, after The Witcher III, there's no way in hell I can go back to playing an N64 game especially one that I didn't get into nor had any interest in back then.

As for Zelda on Wii U/Switch, it seems like Zelda will only be 900P on Switch. Don't know about the frame rate but either way, that's disappointing. Every game should be 1080P when docked. There's simply no excuse for this. Nintendo really needs to get current and stop with their old obsolete ways. Quite honestly, Nintendo of Japan reminds me of the U.S. Congress and in no way, shape or form is that a good thing.

If you own a Wii U, you can trade it in and get extra credit if you put it all towards a Nintendo Switch. The 8GB model trades in for $75 not including the bonuses. The 32GB model trades in for $120 not including the bonuses.

Bonus is $50 in general extra and $75 if you're a Power Up Rewards member.

I just traded in my 32gb Wii U to Amazon a week ago for $168 Amazon credit so, as usual, Gamestop is making like they have a good deal when it's just a big rip off..

GameStop $195. Amazon $168. How is that a big rip off?

I must have missed where every PS4 and XB1 game was 1080P.

They should be. Difference is that PS4 and Xbox One offer a hell of a lot more for the same or less than what Switch is offering. Plus, im pretty sure that every first party game on PS4 and even Xbox One hits 1080P. I can see third parties not hitting it but Nintendo should be hitting 1080P with Zelda especially if it hits it on Wii U.

They may not be but when it comes to PS4 like 90% of the games are 1080p.

I wouldn't say the PS4/XB1 offer "a hell of a lot more". Depends on what you want to play and how you want to do it. PS4 and XB1 also aren't mobile.

I'm not looking it up but I would bet that not all first party is 1080P.

So if the next 9 Switch games are 1080p it's all good then?

That 900p claim is a rumor from a twitter user who claimed a Nintendo rep told him 900p.

Meanwhile Eurogamer, an actual reputable source, was told that Zelda would play at 1080p/60fps when docked into the switch.

So normally you see around 6-12 months from the time a system is really shown off to the time it comes out where this is only about 1.5 months. The only console I can think of that didn't have like 6 months or so was Saturn. So with that said when do you think we will get more news about things like online, controllers etc?

There are at least a few games considered must have games on Ps4 and some other ones considered really good and considering you can get a ps4 for only 50 more then the switch but that is with a game where with switch no game so really switch is like 10 more then ps4 when you factor in how much it cost to just get the system and 1 game. When it comes to the switch the only kind of must have game on day 1 is Zelda and you can already get it on wii u then the next one is not in till holidays when it comes to Mario. Also not ever one really wants mobile. I only have 2 handhelds in Gameboy color and 3ds. I like consoles much more.

lol maybe but you would think a big franchise game like Zelda would be 1080p but I am kind of confused about this because I am hearing different things about if it is going to be 1080p or not one the switch.
