Re: Nintendo Switch Announced, Scheduled to Release March 2017
Most of those indie games are on console already as well. Or will be.

Re: Nintendo Switch Announced, Scheduled to Release March 2017
Has Nintendo commented on the Joycon connection issues? Are they in production units or just the testing ones? That seemed like a pretty big deal but haven't seen much since the first reports...Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Nope. And they won't unless it's big with general public. This is how Nintendo operates. My friend says he has it every single time he plays Zelda.

lol. No, they didn't. Yes, they have quite a few partners/games, but have you seen the number of indie games on Steam? It's literally endless. There have been over 650 new games released on Steam this year and we're still in February. Not all of them are indie games, but a sizable chunk are.Brand New Tomba Slider sets ready for Next Gen Versions of NBA,Madden and Fifa Stay Tuned...Comment

Nintendo Switch Announced, Scheduled to Release March 2017
Kotaku.com switch review is up and they mention the left joy-con issue. Nintendo is aware and investigating.
Outside of the joy-con connectivity issue, the reviewer also says that he doesn't find them very comfortable. Some of the buttons are just awkward to hit or too easy to hit.
Overall, very mixed review. Final recommendation is to wait.

So are they phasing out the DS's with this being a hybrid console/handheld? Sorry, been out of the loop.Comment

Re: Nintendo Switch Announced, Scheduled to Release March 2017
From what I saw, it seems the only issue is if there is something blocking the joycon from the system (more specifically your hand) and it is more than 10 feet away. It happens on both joycons, but more so on the left one. Am I missing something? That doesn't really seem to be an "issue"...no more so than PSVR losing tracking when not having line of sight to move controllers, wii remotes not tracking more than 6 feet away or so, etc.
Your hand? It's a controller and it's 2017. This shouldn't happen.Comment

Re: Nintendo Switch Announced, Scheduled to Release March 2017
it is a motion sensing controller, like the other two i mentioned that have issues, and every other motion sensing type of controller - kinect, ds4/ps camera, etc. Needs some sort of line of sight or near field type of connection. If it used 2.4ghz or bluetooth, then yes it would be an issue.Comment
