So currently saves can't be transferred to microsd, if you have a problem and have to swap consoles or something you lose all your progress in every game. Hope none of you fall victim to that.

Sounds about right. When you rush something out the consumer misses out on simple functionality like this.

I've noticed some dips but nothing bad. I'm definitely very sensitive to that kind of thing tho

Quality wise, Nintendo has for the most part, always delivered. Zelda is an excellent game. It's the other stuff Nintendo has done or hasn't done depending on how you want to look at it is what the problem is.

Not fully optimizing Zelda to run at 30FPS in 900P docked is a problem. No online. No VC. Horrible launch lineup which if it wasn't for Zelda, the console would either A) be dead on arrival or B) delayed until Zelda was ready.

In this case, Zelda has been ready for months but the Switch, not so much. It's Nintendo rushing out the Switch before the end of their fiscal year is the problem because it led to the screen on the tablet getting scratched to the left joycon disconnecting to the console being once again underpowered, etc.

That's why people are complaining. Zelda is just being used as the focal point because it's the one and only game that truly stands out. As someone who wants to play Zelda on my 43 inch 4KTV, the reports saying that it runs better on the handheld as opposed to when it's docked is simply unacceptable and disappointing at least to me. Hopefully, Nintendo patches the frame rate issues by the time I play the game.

and honestly i truly understand that. And it makes sense to think about it that way.

I've had framerate dips, but i put it on motion interpolation on full and it looks much better but i understand most ppl cant do that as most ppl cant really enjoy full 4k either.

I've yet to see any slowdown while docked as well. Not saying it won't happen but I've yet to see any.

It is there, but for me it doesnt bother me as much as it would if it were a full fledged realistic textured game. thats when it really matters. In this case the stuttering when it happens say 20% of the time is due to the sheer vastness of what you're going through plus the lighting which in some way is much more realistic to capture than any other render of lighting ive seen...The way cloud cover darkens the day is astoundingly beautiful per say

I am too as I have a sight issue where i cant watch a screen smaller than 40 inches(sometype of weird ocd/placebo slider effect thing LOL)

Zelda is a game that makes you forget about everything thats gone on in the video game world. The fidelity wars, the first person shooter phenomenon, the framerate discussions and everything else.

It happens right at the start of the game. If you didn't notice it you probably won't.

That might explain it then. I spent the first few hours playing in handheld.

As for reviews, you mean critic reviews? Those are a joke. NO GAME EVER, past, present or future should ever be reviewed a 10/10 simply because NO GAME is perfect.

10/10 doesn't mean a game is perfect though. 10/10 simply means it's the best game that it can be for its genre at that point in time when the review was written.

Nah, 10/10 literally means perfect.

However, garbage reviews have (over the course of time) conditioned people to forget what the scale should actually mean. The majority of games fall between 4-5-6. People won't accept that though.

I get your point, and agree...just useless to have a possible number rating that'll never be used. I'd rather see some 10's for the amazing games and just understand that no book, movie, game, anything done by a person will be perfect. There's flaws in everyone and everything we do (if you want to get that philosophical).

Nope, most all sites say very specifically in their explanation of scores that 10 does not mean perfect. 10 may mean perfect to you but most review sites use 10 as a score that means it's the best in the genre at that point in time when the review was written.
