Motion interpolation is a feature that increases a video’s frame rate, usually up to the maximum frame rate of the TV. This has the effect of making movement look smoother, clearer, and more lifelike than what you typically see from movies and TV – pretty similar to the look of movement in soap operas (hence the alternate name of ‘soap opera effect’). This feature only matters if you want to be able to make movement in videos look a bit smoother.

I currently have a 1080p tv that can interpolate 30 and 60 fps. The trick is the game usually has to be solid on the base game. Once I set my tv settings games looks like they're on pc

Picked up Lego City Undercover. Loved it on the WiiU. Even better having it portable. Still my favorite Lego game of all time. Plays and looks great on the Switch plus retains all the Nintendo Easter eggs.

The Switch arrived yesterday afternoon, so I was able to spend a few hours setting everything up (easiest setup ever) and playing some Zelda. My goodness is this game incredible!

I love being able to dock this system and play on my TV, and then remove from the dock and sit on the couch or anywhere else and play while my wife is watching a show. Granted, I have numerous handheld systems, but the Switch is what we've always wanted with being able to play the same game in a console and handheld format.

I'm really impressed with the image display on the Switch, too. Looks so good!

Can't wait to get back at it later ... Zelda is going to eat up A LOT of my time, I can tell.

I never got it on the Wii U because of long load times. Does it seem better on the Switch? i was trying to decide which console to get that game on, Switch or PS4.

Animal crossing has to be a no brainer for nintendo unless they really are pushing for only mobile for animal crossing

There was a Wii version, and with Switch being portable too I can't imagine they'd leave it out...

I don't think there was a Wii U version, but I might be wrong...not sure it got popular enough for that to happen.

I never got it on the Wii U because of long load times. Does it seem better on the Switch? i was trying to decide which console to get that game on, Switch or PS4.

They are better but still not great. I got it on the Switch for portability and the Nintendo Easter eggs which are obviously removed from other consoles. Once I saw a video of both PS4 and Switch running side by side and they were identical, it was a done deal.

Thanks. I watched a graphics comparison between the two and there was very little difference. Sounds like the PS4 version has long load times as well so maybe I'll get it on the Switch just so I have two games.

from the video i saw, they said it was that two people out of the couple million units sold have reported it happening. And i'm sure if anyone here had it happen we would have heard about it in this thread.

It's a really slight bend. A lot of people may not have the issue and some may not notice it. As a person who would have the switch docked all the time while playing it's something I'm keeping an eye on.

Same here...


However the person who is documented as having this issue also used a glass screen protector which makes the console fit much more tighter in the dock.


Don't get me wrong though. when the switch is docked that puppy gets hot. Then again I've been playing Zelda for the past month a combined 160 hrs AT LEAST average that out to maybe say 5 hrs. a day and its def. a concern of mine as well going forward.

Quick charge batteries have shorter lifespans and are hotter. Just speculating though.
