Walked into target today and saw a switch and decided to pick one up. It is not for me but for my son on his bday. His bday is June 10th so I'll give it to him then. I didn't expect to find one but got lucky.

See, i could imagine getting this type of game on Switch in handheld mode....but on a TV I'm not really thinking I'd ever buy it for Xbox or something...the system can really be great for some games if devs make them

This system is going to be a complete game changer when 2k comes out. I know they haven't announced Madden but hell, even the Vita got a Madden, that would be crazy as well.

What's going on fellow Switch owners

Man...I am not understanding the companies hesitating to develop on this platform. Nintendo should really push harder. Games on the go, being able to play multi player on the go, then connect to big screen with good graphics, it's crazy not to think it will be a success. I mean if 2k and Skyrim are coming on board why not all sports games and adventure games. I am rally lost on this one. My favorite system right now, but unless they get some games I may loose it.

Man...I am not understanding the companies hesitating to develop on this platform. Nintendo should really push harder. Games on the go, being able to play multi player on the go, then connect to big screen with good graphics, it's crazy not to think it will be a success. I mean if 2k and Skyrim are coming on board why not all sports games and adventure games. I am rally lost on this one. My favorite system right now, but unless they get some games I may loose it.

It's a matter of effort and ROI. It can't run most modern games as-is, so you either build your development pipeline to accommodate that degradation/architecture or you set up an entirely new development pipeline for a relatively small user base to port the title from previous generations (Skyrim) or create a new one (FIFA? 2k?).

When the sports games hit that'll set a lot of expectations for the future of third party titles people are used to seeing/are hoping for. As many will say, those games are simply not why you buy a Nintendo system, but are also why it's not really a consideration for others.

Thanks for the thought written post. I guess I am just frustrated that Nintendo's lack of console success aside from the exclusive titles have scared companies from taking a chance. They solved my needs of a gamesr to be able to switch from console to true portable, pun intended

Nintendo just needs to stop making underpowered consoles. This isn't going to happen though. They are clearly fine with making the same mistake over and over third party wise. Until they fix this they are gonna have to depend on their exclusives and mobile games that can easily be ported over to this thing.

You really just have to hope that the Indie devs hit Switch, cause a lot of those games feel like they belong on the system more.

Funny, sounds like my musings with the Vita. I hope the Switch fares better!

Anyone else seeing discoloration in their Joy-Con? Noticed this the other day and couldn't remove it when I tried to clean the controller. It's in the bottom left corner of my left Joy-Con, right where your palm sits when playing/holding the Switch with the controllers attached.
