Alright, no need to get all upset, let me clarify...yes, no one has played it, but we have seen screenshots. I said "crappy" in regards to the graphics being lacking comparative to the other two systems. PS4 and Xbox One both use Frostbite and have greatly enhanced graphics because of it. Switch will not.

Secondly, I can tell you based off feedback from other Switch owners, they are willing to pass on FIFA for PS4 and XB1 because of the portability the crappy Switch version provides.

By all means pass on future EA titles for Switch if you ever purchase the console. But don't act like a cartoonish version of their games is the better option because it's what YOU want.
It's not about what I want, it's about what will sell better. Watered down versions of the same game will not sell as well as games that are different and offer a unique perspective.

Some games are not even coming to Switch this fall because the developers cannot develop them alongside of the PS4/X1 versions. So it will likely come down to getting a "Mario'ized" version of these games or none at all.

How do you know they'll be watered down?

The portability of the Switch already offers them a unique experience.

Personally, I can see a lot of gamers who own the Switch and another system buying both versions of their favorite sports games.

I'm definitely doing that with NBA 2K18.

It is already confirmed they are watered down when they released the information that the graphics will be not utilize Frostbite and the Switch game will not utilize the newer enhancements that the PS4 and X1 will have.

Not everyone will utilize, or care about, the portability. I don't think that aspect alone will be enough to compel most people drop another $59 to play an inferior version of the same game. Diehards will sure but not most folks.

If I had a Switch, and all sports games were available on all 3 consoles, I would buy FIFA, NBA 2K, and Madden on Switch. Solely due to the portability factor. I don't care if it looks a little worse than PS4 and X1, allow me to take the game out of my house and play it whenever and wherever you want.

I was thinking about that last night...NBA 2k on the road, but 4k at home!

It will be (is?) possible for minecraft simply because microsoft owns it, so in the software, no matter the platform, you can sign into an xbox live account and they have the software set to pull the save data.

It technically could work for games similar to a cross save ps4/3/vita deal. For fifa/2k, they would need to use their own save system servers for it rather than the console save systems, read saves that way in game, and likely need it allowed by the console manufacturer (which in case all signs point to sony being out.)

I know uplay has cross platform stats for games played, hours played, uplay points/coins/whatever they are. Ea has Origin accounts tied to your gamer profiles. They likely could implement game saves as well and if allowed, but who knows if that will ever happen.

                    Nintendo Switch Discussion

Millennium played FIFA 18 on Switch and said it was really good. Actually, everyone I talked to at EAPlay said FIFA Switch was fantastic.

I own a PS4 but if sports games or any 3rd party are on Switch, that's the console I'm buying it on due to portability.

I don't care about graphics if gameplay is great. And my Switch has become my primary console. I barely play my PS4 now because the Switch gives me what I need.

If by 'watered down', you mean has all the same features as sports games have had for years, minus card collecting and role playing a character, that's fine for me!

I just want to play a season/franchise with a team and be portable. The Switch is all I have (or want), and I don't want my version to be cartoony because of that choice.

I want to play the sports games that I've played for years...the ones that were on the Wii (remember, Madden pre-cartoon, NBA 2k, NHL 2k, and MLB 2k were all on that system). From the videos I saw of FIFA 18 on the Switch...sign me up!

Sports games on the go are obviously good. I still play MVP 05 on my PSP on vacation and sometime just laying in bed.

FIFA will have Ultimate Team on the Switch. I have no interest in those modes, but including it was a smart move by EA and I believe will help sales, as that mode is certainly popular.

ARMS is awesome. Been playing it a lot so far, has great multiplayer and even couch multiplayer is fun. Big hit for my kids as they don't have to memorize 400 button combos. Our battles have been insane.

Decent. It's fun but it's really focused on MP as most fighting games are outside of Injustice 2 (which even that focuses on it with guilds). But anyway, it has an arcade mode (Grand Prix) to win 10 fights. At the end you earn points to play a mini-game to unlock more arms for future fights. You do earn more points playing online and ranked fights are locked until you beat Grand Prix at level 4 (which can get difficult). It's a great pick up and play game.
