Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity releases on Friday. Really looking forward to the full version after playing the demo.

And, Animal Crossing is dropping another update. Holiday themes aplenty, but the biggest detail is that we'll FINALLY be able to transfer our island save data to another Switch! I'm looking forward to having the ability to play a bit on my OG Switch on the TV; I've been exclusively on the Switch Lite with ACNH since getting the system.

For me, not a chance. I barely play my Switch despite having 8-9 games for it so wouldn't be worth it.

Unless they release a graphic intensive Zelda game then probably not. There's the PC and, eventually, PS5 that will be used for 'powerhouse'/poorly optimized games.

Plus, I have not played the Switch much this whole year.

I'm thinking of picking up a game or two for "the household" for Christmas. Leaning towards Animal Crossing, but really unsure what else came out this year. Any must-haves on your guys' lists?

2020 has been a quiet year for games. There's Mario 3D All-Stars, Paper Mario (reviews have been meh at best), and the aforementioned Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity. Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition is another worth mentioning.

Depends partially on what the Pro offers, but mostly on whether the games available for the system change. I am primarily a handheld gamer (I play my PSP and Vita, still, more than my PS4), so I am a clear target for the Switch. But, no football or hockey, no GTA, no Burnout, not even Fallout. Nintendo needs to worry about improving the game selection for the Switch before worrying about an enhanced version (again, this is just to get my demographic to buy).

Fire Emblem: Three Houses came out last year but is good in any year. Top 5 game on the system.

For me I usually play in dock mode now so the pro would have to be a good upgrade in that for me to consider it.

You may already know this, but there is a Burnout game (Paradise Remastered) on Switch. I agree with you on the sports games; I'm holding out hope that NHL 94 Rewind finds its way to the Switch.

Perhaps with the Pro we'll see GTA and a few other games ported over. I think games like Skyrim and The Witcher 3 have, from a gameplay standpoint, performed rather well on the Switch.

I did not know there was a Burnout on the Switch! That's great!! Yeah, if they get another couple games in my wheelhouse, especially sports (and NHL 94 would indeed be a great fit!), I'll make the plunge. If I do, then I'll have to look into Skyrim and The Witcher 3. Thanks for the head's up!

For anyone else looking for GTA on the Switch, I just saw Saints Row 3 is on the Switch. No idea how good it is, but great to have that kind of option!

Saints Row 3 was fun and somehow managed to become even more zany, and over-the-top than SR2. SR 2 is still my favorite, but 3 was just wild.

Never touched SR3. I feel like I saw a preview in a magazine that gave me sci-fi vibes and just decided to stick with SR2
