I'm also bummed that sony will not be at E3 as I was looking forward to it. They are still plenty of quicker, cheaper and more effective ways to get news out in todays time. It still stinks as I was hoping to get the big reveals for the next gen exclusives.

I don't expect a huge jump in visuals just becuase we are already accustomed to 4k gaming. But i do think we will see a noticeable difference. With better lighting/ray tracing, colors, and textures, I expect more photo realistic graphics. I expect to see less cartoonish visuals from sports games.

I'm really interested to see how Sony First part games will look. Their exclusive studios has always done an excellent job of pushing the consoles to it's limit and optimizing for a excellent looking games. So I'm curious to see how next gen exclusives will look.
Also curious to see how some of the PS4 exclusives will look with a PS5 patch. I'm curious to see how Spiderman or God of War looks with upscaled visuals. Especially Got, I'm defintiely waiting to see how that looks with a PS5 patch because I'm sure it will be beautiful. I can see them showing off PS4 exclusives upscaled when they reveal PS5 or at one of the events. I wonder how they approach the PS5 patch games. I'm not sure if they re-release PS4 exclusives as PS5. But that would almost defeat purpose of BC. So I think they release patches for those games for it to be auto upwcaked

I don’t care about E3 or any press conferences whatsoever.

I just don’t want Sony to screw this up. I don’t want PS5 to release the following year or some crap like that. I don’t wamt ps3 all
        Over again.

Just release these to new machines at the same time and the people decide.

I can see a late Oct/early Nov release window. I think they will give a release date when they do the reveal. I think it is important to release it before Black Friday just so it gives consumers more time to purchase consoles there won't be any discounts, but that is typically the time people buy electronics.

So what's the reason everyone is saying PS5 will be 8-10 TF and severely underpowered vs Series X. Sony hasn't even released specs

I think it is from "leaks" or people assuming PS5 will try to sell console at $400 and having to compromise power. I'm tired of all the rumors and "leaks". I remember seeing a "leak" that said would have 13-14 TF. I hope that when they do the reveal that they release full specs

I'm hoping for $500 and Sony giving me the most powerful and best console they can for that price but I wouldn't be surprised if they decide to go the $400 route especially since mid-gen upgrade is pretty much a guarantee. My release date prediction is November 20th either way.

I agree. I rather see them sell it for $500 and get the most bang for my buck. I know $400 is the sweet spot. But with new generation and these features they are touting, i don't see how they can sell it for $400 even if they compromise on power. I do think they do a mid gen refresh again. But see them staying at the $500 range and just dropping base model down within a year or so of Pro release.

Either way, I'm ready. I already have money put away for the console. As long as most games can run 4k 60, I'm good. I'm sure Sony exclusives will be pushed to the limit

Yes I prefer the $500 also. I'm getting both consoles and want the best from both. I'm also hoping for a 4k switch and Nvidia gaming card to be priced decent for 4k 120hz lol. Purchasing my 65" C9 in a few weeks.

Count me in on wanting to pay a extra $100 and get more power. I know the rumor for the Xbox side is two different models so I would like to see that. I'll be making the jump from a base ps4 so I'll already see a good jump.

I would be more than okay with $500 if we get more power. I want to see these Sony exclusives be as powerful as possible. I'm not a fan of Pro model ideal. I rather see them make the base model as powerful as possible and just focus on that. We still years away from 8k becoming relevant to consumers, which means we are 5-7 years away from 8k gaming to be a possibility. I don't think there will be need for a mid gen refresh like current gen.
You will see a noticeable jump from base PS4 to PS5. If it wasn't for me getting Pro as a gift, i would have stuck with my base PS4 that had the ejecting disc problem. I should still feel a good jump regardless. I already sold both of my PS4s and won't being playing games until next gen and since I beat RDR2 early last year, I scarcely played my PS4 anyway. I'm definitely not waiting a year or so like last time. I just might wait a week or 2, just see if gamers find any issues. I'm not concerned if there isn't any Sony PS5 exclusives right away that I'll like. I'm certain that there will be good 3rd Party games and hopefully a decent amount of PS4 exclusives that get a PS5 patch at launch to hold me over a while.

4k 120fps for PC GPU not going to be cheap.

There will be a pro just like a newer series x in a couple of years. It is the future of gaming.

PS5 and series x will be under-powered in 3 years

By the time they release they will start to feel outdated already

I know. That's why Xbox is going the flexible "Xbox" name. It is the future. I just wonder how they approach a pro version of PS5. I can see faster 2 TB SSD, better performance, 15+ TFlops. Some thing like that. I don't know how much better it could look visually. Unless, we see 8k, but I don't think that's a reality until PS6

The ps5 will not be strong enough to be 4k 60 in all games. The PRO version will be....Perhaps a bigger SSD as well and overclocked cpu and gpu
