Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever. -

Yeah, trying to think of what I'm gonna do with mine. I've got a standard One X and a Taco Box.
Then again I have 4 kids, perhaps I do nothing with them lol.

Re: Xbox Series X ($499) and Xbox Series S ($299) Release on November 10, Pre-Orders
I just don't know when the best time would be. In a perfect world, before Series X goes up for pre-order. But I'm hesitant to pull the trigger so soon.
I have enough PC games to keep me busy till launch, but I do still play The Show.
I'm also looking to see if Amazon is doing pre-orders so I don't have to pay till it's shipped. Or seeing if I can get approved for the financing.Comment

Re: Xbox Series X ($499) and Xbox Series S ($299) Release on November 10, Pre-Orders
A cheaper add on for TVs in other rooms that can also play the top games on? Seems like value for me. We have to remember that a majority of gamers aren't enthusiasts like we are.
I have 2 original Xbox Ones and plan on keeping them...One has the disc not reading, the other still works with Kinect in our living room. Our nicer tv is in the bedroom since my son broke one with a hockey puck, so the Series X will go there and can maybe move the others around for kids as time goes on. I don't think I'd really get enough value to sell them at this point, and my kids will like a lot of Xbox One level games out there....Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Xbox Series X ($499) and Xbox Series S ($299) Release on November 10, Pre-Orders
There is word that Sony did not think for a second that MS will put their X model at 500, they felt 600 was the MS price.
I have a seriously hard time believing that Sony will release their console at 400 which will be a huge loss money wise.
I still feel that Sony will do 500 and 550 for both consoles
Maybe 450 and 500 or 450 and 550
But Sony at the end of the day is providing a console that will be missing key features found on the X
Sony has not confirmed that they have Free Sync for their AMD GPU which is a biggie
Sony will not have Dolby Vision which X has
The Series X not only will it have
Variable Rate Shaders it will have VRR and Free Sync along with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.
Those are things very appealing to someone who wants to buy the console for not only gaming but the casual who is the most important buyer that buys a few games but uses the console for 4k blue ray and dolby atmos along now with Dolby Vision.
Microsoft jammed Sony up. They have to meet the price for the X at $500. My understanding is the optical drive does not cost them $100 so a price for the digital only PS5 of $450 would make sense. Again I would rather have more of a future proof option with the PS5 than buy the S.Comment

If they're going to be $50 apart, I think that's a difficult sell, but then again it's not the S / X model as they're both otherwise identical.Comment

Hmm how is the S / X identical? Doesn't the /S do up to 1440p and the /X does 4K at 60FPS? I would love to save money and I now only do XBOX GPU so I don't need an optical drive. And the /S doesn't look anything like the /X.Comment

Mestevo said that the S and X are NOT identical but the PS5 Digital and Disc editions are.Comment

OK. So $400 for the future proof for now PS5 digital only or the S for $300. I don't see the point of the S I really don't. Some people love the idea but I don't get it. Its only $100 more for $200 for sure not for 3.Comment

Re: Xbox Series X ($499) and Xbox Series S ($299) Release on November 10, Pre-Orders
Decided on upgrading from XB1X to the Series X. Will stay with the PS Pro for at least another year before making the jump to a PS5.
Have a Game Pass sub paid for through I believe June. Cyberpunk & Watch Dogs preordered and paid for digitally already thanks to MS Reward Points. The Witcher 3 GOTY Edition downloaded (never played) receiving a free next gen upgrade. No absolute must play console exclusives for either brand anytime soon.
At this time making the jump with Xbox makes more sense for me.

Re: Xbox Series X ($499) and Xbox Series S ($299) Release on November 10, Pre-Orders
The Xbox Series S is freaking brilliant idea. As of the end of 2019, 85% of people (not gamers, but people) did not own a 4K TV or plan to buy one. It's probably not much different right now especially considering what 2020 has been.
For $300, you're getting a console for the next 6+ years easily. Will still have the custom NVME SSD (and 512GB is NOT a big deal at all), Ray Tracing, 99% identical CPU to Series X and all the RDNA 2 features.
Then, you figure the $25 a month deal which a lot of people are going to do. Series S WILL be the best selling console SKU this holiday season if not throughout the entire generation. You're highly underestimating Xbox Series S.
That $100 is a huge difference in general and even more so when you add in the $25 a month payment plan that Sony does NOT have and you get 300 freaking games day one. It's insane value and extremely aggressive and brilliant at the same time.Comment

The series S for 300 is beyond amazing value
There will be times where series S will have better performance then PS5 except for the visual fidelity in resolutionComment
