Re: Xbox Series X ($499) and Xbox Series S ($299) Release on November 10, Pre-Orders
Am not saying it, the people whos jobs are to get info on sale numbers are saying it.
Media is running with it for clicks. Just like you are
And worst of all the tab showing the xbone one x as top 10 is for movers and shakers not for sales.
When you put the sales tab, it is nowhere to be found but you know what is there? The series X
Cant be masses of people ordering wrong console that was discontinued 4 months ago and nobody but resellers on Amazon have a fewComment

Expensive but not surprising. Expecting the PS5 external SSD will probably be at least $300+.
I will say that those Seagate SSD looks so damn cool. Reminds me of a PS2 memory card. LOL.Comment

maybe im in the minority here but i dont see a problem with the ssd being that expensive. i always saw ssd as being the more expensive storage then hdd. now if it was that price for an hdd then i can see why people be upset. but its an ssd its a better storage then an hdd and you getting 1tb for it.idk but i thought it was ok for the price. also anyone else feel like a kid again getting a new system. it been what couple years since the xbox one came out. i felt like this when i got my switch. idk maybe i just try to look at some positives with 2020 being what it is.Comment

Yeah I figured the PS5 storage was going to be more. I’m probably going to hold off on getting a series x until summer/ fall of 2021 to keep my cost down. Both systems at once plus games and storage is a lot of cash.Last edited by JMD; 09-25-2020, 12:58 AM.Comment

Re: Xbox Series X ($499) and Xbox Series S ($299) Release on November 10, Pre-Orders
I put a pre-order in at BB for the expansion drive just to be safe. I will likely cancel it before it's out but I figured I'd put my name on one to be safe. 1TB is likely going to be ok since you can still use a regular HDD to store games but will have to transfer the series X versions of games to the internal drive before playing. I'll keep my 4TB drive for storage, and I guess move back and forth for the Series X games or just keep them on the internal, and XB1 games on the HDD I have. Sounds like a real pain though, but I wanted to get my hands on one to be safe. Hopefully we find out soon how big the file size is for the SeriesX versions of games compared to the Regular Xb1 versions. That's when I'll decide whether I need the extra 1TB right now, or can wait for a hopeful price drop.
Either way the whole thing has me thinking of just cancelling the preorder for the XSX all together. The console plus the expansion drive if necessary now is going to creep to around $1000 here. That's just... a bit crazy for a console to be honest.Miami Dolphins - Detroit Red Wings - Toronto Blue Jays - Michigan Wolverines - CANADAComment

Re: Xbox Series X ($499) and Xbox Series S ($299) Release on November 10, Pre-Orders
Console gaming just bot expensive as heck
Series X 500 plus 1TB storage 220
Series S 300 plus 1tb storage 220
PS5 Disc 500 plus 1tb storage? (could be 230) That is what similar Samsung versions are going for
PS5 Digital 400 plus 1tb storage 230
On MS you can plug your regular hard drive externally and place your games there and move them to the internal ssd when you are playing them
Sony has not yet stated if this is possible which i hope it is because it would save people a lot of moneyComment

It already says I won't get it till the 12th, so that sucks. Knowing my luck there will be enough to walk in on the 10th and get one.Comment

Re: Xbox Series X ($499) and Xbox Series S ($299) Release on November 10, Pre-Orders
Amazon via chat said all of US pre orders for both consoles received that email which is just to cover their backside if they cannot provide due to an issue with Sony and MS providing units but they expect all pre orders to be available for launchComment

So I just wonder how many of us who got pre-orders will actually get it release day? As I mentioned, Walmart says "By the 12th." I honestly would be pretty disappointed to have to wait two days while everyone else is enjoying next-gen.Comment
