PS Now Could Get PS5 Games Soon to Compete With Xbox Game Pass

If this is true, this would be good for those who cant get a PS5 (including me) until they can meet production and the PS4 is no longer a thing.

My heat sink came in today and I installed my 1TB WD SN850 SSD. It was pretty easy to do and it worked. No problems so far.

So how much extra space did you get and what was the cost for everything? Thanks

Says I have exactly 1TB of free space. The SSD was $180 and the heat sink was $17.

Sony Introduces Game Trials, Try PS5 Games for a Limited Time

Sony has sent out a wave of emails that introduces a new feature for PlayStation 5 owners called Game Trials. Starting today, the firm is giving PS5 owners the chance to download certain first-party titles and try them out free of charge for a limited time. The first two games available are Death Stranding Director's Cut and Sackboy: A Big Adventure.

The fine print within the email explains that in order to activate a Game Trial, you'll need to head on over to the PS Store and select the Trial option that's labelled as free. Death Stranding Director's Cut will offer six hours of playtime while Sackboy: A Big Adventure has a five-hour Trial. The timer starts as soon as you trigger the download, so make sure you've got some time to spare otherwise you'll have wasted the opportunity. Accounts are limited to one Game Trial of each game. Since Game Trials are limited to PS5 titles, the PS4 version of Sackboy: A Big Adventure doesn't qualify for this free test.

Your progress, save data, and Trophies will all carry over into the full game should you choose to buy either title after the Game Trial expires. The Game Trials for Death Stranding Director's Cut and Sackboy: A Big Adventure are available until midnight on 28th October 2021.

I do like the idea of Trials. Especially for a game I'm certain of. I'm just hoping it gets to a point where you can rent a digital game off the PlayStation Store. Where after a period of time, the license expires.

It does make sense for Konami to get back in the premium console market. They have the IPs that should still sell well. Not sure about Metal Gear Solid without Kojima though. But I'm interested in a potential MGS3 remake and other remasters. I only played MGS4.

                    Re: PlayStation 5

So apparently the trials start when you start downloading the game, instead of first launching the game. That needs to change if it's going to be of any use. If you don't have a fast connection you could potentially waste a ton of time just downloading the trial.

Either way hope this catches on. Especially since we don't get as many demos these days. There are a lot of games I would have passed on had I been able to play for myself.

I'd love a new Silent Hill game. An original MGS game would be good. I don't want any new ones though the sillyness just got out of hand after awhile.

Yeah, I'm surprised they moved forward with it at all having to tie it to when the application is granted to the account instead of doing it based on actual playtime.

I'd like to see them leverage streaming to let people try games, too. Tera via Gaikai before they acquired it was the first time I ever got to play a game demo, and it was amazing. A decade later it feels like little progress has been made in their ecosystem on this front.

I'd actually prefer Sony to be handling a new Silent Hill than anything from Konami.

If its true that bluepoint is making a original game instead of just a remake next that will be interesting being they have never done that and being that a original ip gives you a lot more creative freedom.

They may have two projects in development. A small original game like Miles Morales/Lost Legacy and a remake to a beloved game.

Sony will most likely expand them plus they don't need to be massive when one game is a remake of an already developed and released game because the core is already there for them.
