All I want right now is an official date to when Sony will release there next system update, they are not letting me in the bets even though I signed a million times. I have a 2TB drive I need to use, I just don't have space, being a sports gamer on PlayStation and wanted to keep my other games I still play is becoming an issue.

Re: PlayStation 5
I didn't realize that when they relented on the Horizon pricing they also reaffirmed paying to upgrade your PS4 digital titles to get the PS5 version. Disappointing.

Yea they did which is ridiculous. Sony’s attitude has been pretty anti consumer this gen.

Re: PlayStation 5
I think it's too early to know for sure but next Fall is going to be stacked with third party games. I don't see Sony getting involved in any of that when they don't need to. Also, I wouldn't be shocked if Gran Turismo 7 gets delayed. I think that game still needs work but we'll see. GOWR could be September at the latest but they didn't even put "2022" at the end of the trailer so that tells me they'll need more time. Spider Man 2 has September 2023 written all over it. It will be Sony's massive holiday title.
Also, you have to remember that there's still a supply constraint that will last into 2023 so Sony doesn't really need to release these games that fast. They need to make sure that they're ready most of all and then have a good PS5 install base.
Either way, it's too early to know for sure. Plus, Fall 2021 just started getting going and then Horizon 2 in February along with Elden Ring in January, Wonderlands and Midnight Suns in March and Sifu/Saints Row in February.
Next few months are getting crowded. Awesome time to be a gamer!!!
Does Sony have a showcase at TGS? If not, I wouldn't expect anything from them. And what exactly is Square Enix's Black Panther all about?
The exclusive news was changed to something along the lines of temper expectations. The rumored Kojima showing could happen though if he signs with Microsoft in time. If not, then most likely at The Game Awards with a teaser trailer.Comment

Re: PlayStation 5
Knowing if a game is PS4 or PS5 has been useful since a lot of games are still cross gen.
I didn't test the SSD slot because I was worried they'd change the specs between beta and release.
3D sound from tv speakers is cool.
I wish they would bring back folders to the home screen.

Re: PlayStation 5
Next year is crazy loaded with games never had a year with the amount of like big games has next year has. So yeah it is true that even if sony has no big exclusives after march that there would still be a lot to play thinks to the crazy amount of big multi platforms next year and than what if we get ps VR 2 late next year to. I also wonder if sony will do anything next year for Ratchet and clank and its 20 year anniversary. Back in 2012 for 10 years they did a 10 year HD collection of the first 3 ratchet games. I wonder if next year for its 20 year if they might do a like remaster collection of the future ratchet and clank games meaning quest for booty, crack in time, tools of destruction. There are rumors that sony may be doing another show in December this year but I am not really expecting it. For this year the only news I really expect is if sony has 1-2 announcements at the video game awards and a date for the update to add being able to add more space to your systems memory. Maybe a show to show more Horizon forbidden west or a state of play to focus on GT7 or something but out side of that I dont expect to see a show this year.
I can see a Ratchet collection but im expecting a Rivet spin off game more. Rumors of another showcase I put at 50/50. I would think that Sony would just show a few things at The Game Awards going into 2022 but we'll see what they do.
And you can add Dying Light 2 to the list of 2022 games overall as it's been delayed to February 4th.Comment

I originally thought SE was creating a stand-alone game of Black Panther. Don't think that's the case now.Comment

Re: PlayStation 5
Seems those of us who have managed to get a PS5 to day may have ended up with the better console compared to this new revision if these impressions are to be believed.
So I got my hands on one of the updated CFI-1100B model PS5s. Full video (https://youtu.be/taKKVBVoKhg) just went live but…
Rear exhaust temps are 3-5C higher
⚖️ Weighs 0.3 KG or 0.6 LBS less
 Heatsink is SIGNIFICANTLY smaller
 Has a slightly redesigned fan
 Upgraded stand
Essentially the updated PS5s that are rolling out right now are cheaper to produce with MUCH less cooling capability.
There are smaller internal changes with the Wi-Fi card and antennas but…as of right now the launch PS5 seems like the better console.

Re: PlayStation 5
Got email invites for Friday and today from playstation direct to buy PS5s and both times it glitched out on the payment screen lol. Thankfully my excitement level to buy one is like a 5/10 right now, but I feel bad for people who are at a 10. Not too far away from a year into this life cycle and this is where we still are.Comment
