It's wild to me that I can literally go to Sony's website and buy a PS5 Pro right now. I remember the PS4 Pro being hard to find. I still don't think it's worth $700, but then again I didn't think the PS4 Pro was worth a purchase either.

With the PlayStation 5 Pro being $700 and digital only unless you buy the disc drive add on, I believe that it's Sony's way to let their fan base and consumers in general know that PlayStation 6 won't be cheap when it releases in Fall 2028 which is the rumored/expected release date.

I believe that Sony (and Microsoft to be honest) will release a PlayStation Portable along side PlayStation 6 for $500 with the console being $800. Same for Microsoft and Xbox.

PS5 Pro is $700 with an extra TB of SSD storage and better GPU. Xbox Series X has a 2TB SSD model for $600 coming out in two weeks.

Now take that stuff, add a brand new CPU and at least 24GB of RAM (even though im hoping for 32GB of RAM because they will need it) along with a newer GPU and probably 2TB of SSD storage and the $800 price tag becomes very easy to see.

I don't believe Sony or Microsoft will take losses any more. You want their stuff, you gotta pay for it. Until proven otherwise, I believe the days of both companies taking losses is done.

Same here. Sitting tight with my PS5 for a long while. I don’t see myself getting a new console till at least 2030.

I think I would have been fine with my PS4 Pro for the next few years. I have a PS5 but I have never been "wowed" by anything I've seen on the system; not even graphically. This entire generation of consoles has brought no noticeable advancement whatsoever, IMO.

I think i'm totally ******.
My ps5 is stuck in safe mode and the first 7 options are grayed out and inaccessible. Only option 8 is selectable,says I have to use a usb drive to restart but I dont think I have any way of going online to download a software update. Can that be done with an android phone or will I need a PC?

Update PS5 using USB Drive

You may be able to download it to your android phone. I just attempted to download it to my iPhone and it looked like it was going to save to my iCloud Drive but I didn’t go all the way through the saving of the download. Hope that helps. You still need to get the USB drive formatted properly and the update in the folder on the USB though so you’re gonna need a PC or Mac at some point I’d think.

Luckily I didn't have any problem getting CFB 25 back after the factory reset but a couple months ago I rebought MLBTS23 digital version and it shows as still in my library but when I try to download it , its says not available. Any ideas guys?

My PS5 is a paperweight now. Tired of spending every few years on a new console, only for an upgrade in the console to come out. Just went with PC, and I'm very happy.

I built a powerful PC and for some reason the confort of playing on my 77 inch on a couch always brings me back. I actually play my consoles more than my pc.

Will be trading in my launch model PlayStation 5 (along with my launch model Xbox Series X) to GameStop later this week and will be pre-ordering the PlayStation 5 Pro. I figured that since I bought the 2TB Xbox Series X Galaxy Black edition and both will be traded in when the next consoles launch, I figured why not?
