Santa says he has room in his sleigh (and in his budget) to bring me a Pro for Christmas.

Looking forward to seeing what's under the tree in two weeks now.

Guess I'll have to buy my own rather depending on Santa, it's a lot funner during the year, getting on the naughty list rather than the nice one lol.

I played Alan Wake 2 on Fidelity on the Pro and it looked great. Just restarted Spider-Man 2 and playing it on Fidelity Pro with the RT features on high and VRR and it looks great. Probably will replay Ratchet and Clank as well
I'm waiting for Ghost of Tsushima to get a Pro Enhanced version and waiting for Black Myth Wukong as well

"New" update (today's the first time I've used my ps5 this month) has the 30th anniversary update on it.

Was I ever surprised when I booted up my PS5 and the old school PlayStation screen/sound effect came on!

Just finished The Last of US Part 1 on the Pro for first time. Another game that looks amazing on the Pro.

While I'm definitely enjoying the Pro, I do wish there was a larger number of Pro Enhanced games and for some games no idea if there will be one or not. I just got in Black Myth Wukong in mail, but thats a game I'm waiting to see if it receives a Pro update. Ghost Of Tsushima is another game I'm still waiting on

                Happy Holidays everyone!!

I have the PS5 PRO and got me a longer HDMI cord from what they sent with system before display was 2160 standard whatever it was.

Now with my new HDMI I'm getting 3840x2160 - VRR (48-120Hz)

Color format now is YUV422 (HDR)

Could this be better than the standard HDMI?

Also what should I use for under captures and broadcast settings?

                Video clip Format has

                Manual recording Resolution

                1920x1080 or I can select 3840x2160

Then for broadcasts video quality it has

1920x1080 at 30 fps but the above one is 1920x1080 at 60 fps

Which ones should I use ?

                Thanks, HB

I believe the system is packed with an HDMI 2.1 cable that already supports 4K resolution, 120Hz, 8K resolution at 60Hz. There are other premium products out there but I always thought it was overkill. It seems you're noticing a nice difference.

                    In google words.......

For broadcasting a film, "1920x1080 at 30 fps" is generally considered better as it provides a more cinematic look, closely resembling the traditional film frame rate of 24 fps, while 60 fps can sometimes appear too smooth and "video-like" for film content.

60fps – A higher frame rate of 60fps is commonly used for sports, gaming and modern genres where smoother motion is beneficial.

Santa delivered for me and now I have a PS5 Pro. Pretty happy it with it so far. GT7 looks incredible and I notice a an improvement on both M25 and CFB25 so far on my C2. Still need to test out other games.

Saw a thread on Reddit about fan noise and that triggered my OCD. I saw I've got the Delta fan when I installed my SSD in the M2 slot. That's supposedly the worst fan. So far, it seems a touch louder than my OG PS5. But I can't hear it when I have sound on for a game. Is that pretty much the experience for everyone here?

First two days with the Pro were great, but the other night the screen started cutting in and out.

I switched the HDMI input on the TV. That worked for one gaming-session but today it went back to cutting in and out. I just swapped the HDMI cable with the one from the original PS5 (that I never had any problem with) so hopefully that works. If not, I'll be worried something is wrong with the HDMI port on the Pro.

Edit: Not sure if it's related or not, but the Pro uses just enough more power than my original PS5 that it sometimes trips my UPS (mainly on NBA 2K). Messing around now with reducing the load on the UPS.

The live service game failure is something the average fan could have told you was a mistake. It looks like it will take them all ps5 get to fully figure that out
