They're prepping us for the PS6, which will likely be digital only with no ability to connect a disc drive. They want to kill the concept of used games, and constantly remaster/remake every game that is halfway popular so they can keep prices up.Comment

It really feels that way. On one hand, outside of EA CFB 25, if I buy a game, it's typically digital. But on the other hand, I'm very selective on games that I buy. I use Gamefly for games I know I want to just try out or play and beat one time. I'm already mentally prepared for Gamefly to end within next 5 or years. I just don't want the option of having to buy a game digitally to play it
I'm leaning towards buying the Pro. I liked the Digital Foundry videos. I felt they did a better job than Sony showcasing the differences. I like playing on Performance mode, so if I can get that plus the current Fidelity mode benefits, it's worth it for me since I have a more than capable TV for it. I'll wait until the Oct 10 preorder to go for itComment

I don't think they'll officially go digital-only, but I think they'll just do what they're doing now - sell one disc-free model and make us buy the drive separately.Comment

I would tend to agree with you however, this will surely be popular in Japan and everywhere around the world. The first PlayStation console released on December 3, 1994 which makes that 12,300 stand out. I'm sure, they're lining up with their high bids soon. The more off the market, the more demand it becomes.

I agree. The only thing is that we are seeing the occasional new game not releasing a physical disc at launch and still sell well. The 2 games that come to mind is Alan Wake 2 and Black Myth Wokung. I wouldn't be surprised if we start to seeing more games not releasing discsComment

Hoping someone can help with this, I had a PS4 awhile ago and played Ghost of Tsushima, have a PS5 now and wanted to finish the main story but when I downloaded the game it starts me from the beginning. I did the download upload with the options while selecting the game on the home screen and there was nothing there to download. Is my old save gone now? A list of confirmed Pro enhanced game. I expect more within few months of launch. I am curious to see how the sports games are enhanced. Not sure CFB25 has graphics, but I know Madden does have Visuals and Performance options. So I imagine the Pro version is just a blend of the two modes and CFB will have the same.
I was hesitant on using PlayStation Direct since I never used it. But, I go my disc drive and stand delivered with 20 hours of ordering and I should get the launch day delivery for the Console. So, i definitely will use PS Direct moreComment
