    I'm officially in the club!

Was terrified taking the bottom plate off so I could install the expansion drive, but it really wasn't that bad. I may be asking Santa for some black plates for Christmas.

That's probably top three most terrifying things in the world.

I agree with you. I have my original Sega Genesis, PS3 and PS4...sorely regret passing along my PS1 and PS2. I still play everyone of them today.

Well, decided to look online this morning and a local Target had some to order for pickup only.

Due to weakness.. I now have XBSX and a PS5

Saw my first PS5 in the wild today at my local Meijer’s here in West Chester, Ohio. It was a Horizon bundle.

Because little things like this bug me ...

I have all my PS4 games installed on an external hard drive. All my PS5 games are on the M2 drive. The only games I have on the console storage are Astro's Playroom and Share Factory Studio, which take up about 15 GB of space.

After playing PS4 versions of MLB, Madden and 2K, my Games and Apps storage went from roughly 15 GB to 40 GB.

The only thing I can think of is that maybe the PS5 copies some of the game data over from the external drive to the console storage for faster loading?

I have plenty of space. Just bugs me that I don't know where that 25 GB went.

The storage thing bugs me, and I keep getting connection errors even though it's connecting to the internet just fine. But other than that, the PS5 has been pretty amazing so far.

I'm playing the PS4 version of MLB 21, but being able to put it in 4K and not lose any frame rate is awesome. Going to restart Kena this weekend, this time with the PS5 version. I was almost done with FF7 on the PS4, but I'm going to restart it with the PS5 version as well. I went ahead and snagged the intermission DLC as well.

It had been awhile since I played Shadow of the Tomb Raider. I know it looked good on the PS4 Pro, but it's amazing on the PS5. Going to have to run through it again too.

I don't see myself going back to the Pro. I think it's time to sell it and hope somebody else loves it as much as I did. I'll have to put the money toward a new TV. My TV looks good, but HDR in Gaming mode is terrible.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider I was disappointed in the 2 Tomb games before that where much better. Kena just got its year 1 update yesterday pretty good the new challenges are that where added. Beat the game once a while back pretty impressive for a small studio and its first game.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider received a 4k60 patch early 2021 randomly without much of a notice. It did make a difference visually and definitely playing that type of game in 60 fps made an impact. It did for Fos of War as well.

I wish more developers would go back and add an option of a dynamic 4k/60. That would be great for so many games. There's games I'm holding out on replaying because of that. Like the Arkham Batman games, Uncharted Trilogy, etc.

Did you check the "other" category in the internal storage space? It's under save game data. This is probably where that 25GB are.

Kena is such a great game. FF7R and Shadow were excellent but these two I played back at launch on PS4 Pro. You playing them on PS5 should be better as I know FF7R runs at 60FPS and the image quality was cleared up. Shadow I think got a current generation upgrade but im not 100% sure.

PS5 is a great console and hope you continue to enjoy it!!!

Yes, sometime last year in August they just released a 4k60 patch for the next gen consoles.

I can get some publishers don't want to release a patch like that without any added incentive, but some games would really benefit from that type of of patch.

I highly recommend the ps5 exclusive Demon's Souls especially if youve ever enjoyed a Soulsborne game.

If I go to Console Storage - Games and Apps, it's showing I'm using just under 41 GB. But the only games I have installed on the Console Storage are Astro's Playground and Share Factory, which comes to just under 14 GB. So there's 27 GB not accounted for.

I reset my PS5 and the numbers added up. But the first time I played the PS4 version of The Show (saved on my external drive) it added about 18 GB of space under Games and Apps.

I'm assuming it's copying part of the game to Console Storage for faster access. I could be wrong. Not a big deal as I have plenty of space.

I was almost done with FF7 on the PS4 (and I beat it way back in the day on the PS1). I uploaded my save, so I could just finish it out on the PS5, but I think I'll just start over. It's such a great game, I don't mind playing through it again. I was only part way through Kena on the PS4; another game I don't mind playing through again on the PS5. And yeah, Shadow of the Tomb Raider got a patch for the PS5. Definitely going to run through it again too.

                                There's -
                                - Games and Apps
                                - Media Gallery

What's other listed as? For me right now, it's 17.69GB. I don't have any other hard drives or anything. Just 4 games on the PS5 internal SSD and that's it. Either way, it's definitely weird.

All three are great games so enjoy!!!
