I'm waiting for the end of the cross gen period. I want to see games that exceeds what we seen before. Don't know if we're at the point of diminishing returns when it comes to visuals, but not much we've so far that doesn't look like a higher detailed version last gen games.

I know this is a small sample but the biggest difference thus far between the 2 console generations for me is.....

On the PS5, I'm able to compete much better against PC players in a MMO/FPS type environment as compared to the PS4. IMO, I'm not sure how much in visuals will you get better except the noticeable differences in the remakes. The PS5 DualSense Controller is also a favorite of mine and you're going to love it.

I will say these first two years on my PS5 , I primarily have played just cross gen games and mostly PS4 games. I haven't played many games that took great advantage of it. I know God of War Ragnarok will. I have zero issues with visuals. Unless you want photo realistic visuals, not sure you're getting that much better this gen. I do wonder with these Cross gen games that if it was developed solely for next gen consoles, would they have taken the same approach with visuals. God of War Ragnarok will likely look like a higher detailed version of God God War 2018. Which I don't have a problem with., but I wonder if they would have done more with visuals if it was for PS5 only. .

I do want to see less of a focus on Remakes and Remasters. Unless, if it is situation where they're using it in a way to guage interest for a future release or at least putting a real effort to the Remaster. Give me a Spider-Man Remastered or Saints Row 3 type of remaster, not a Mafia 2 or GTA Trilogy quality remaster. There are games i would like to see remastered, but it doesn't feel necessary But, I will say there are a few games that I would love to see a remake and would feel worth it. I said it many times and will speak it to existence, but I feel MGS 3 & 4 would really shine if remade for the Ps5 only. Especially MGS 4, since it's only available for PS3. With the stealth, combat, storyline, those games would be great if made modernized and both would take great advantage of the DualSense

Did you try The Matrix Awakens? An Unreal Engine 5 experience that gives a different perspective than other engines we've previously played on. That demo shows us that it still has some kinks in it but how spectacular those visions can be when played using UE5. Now that was something.

Only once for a little. But, I can definitely see the potential of UE5. That's what I'm talking about. Next gen level design and something as little as scale. The character's size relative to the city feels more appropriate. Many open world games in the past, the character's size feels to close to the size of the city landscape. When done right, like in the demo, it makes the world seems bigger. Also the amount of NPCs and cars make the world feel more alive. That's the issue a lot of these past open world games had. A lot of them felt so lifeless and felt like the NPCs served no purpose other than to simulate the real world.

We're still probably a year or so away from seeing those UE5 and other current gen exclusives games showing the true potential of the next gen console.

It is apart of the Extra tier. For the most part, Premium tier is the classic games and some of the PS4 games that were remastered.

I'm sure it's difficult bundles all over, but I hate how the only way to get a console right now seems to be bundle deals with a game you might not even want, while paying full price for it.

They're finally offering an NHL23 or FIFA23 PS5 bundle.. but you must also buy another game with it.

If I could choose which games, I'd have no problem adding in NBA 2k23 one time and buying two games full priced, but forcing a specific game on you sucks.

The Jurassic VR and call of the mountain are the 2 games so far for VR that look good. Bummer that it cost 550 and not the like 450-500 people where expecting. Hope I can get a pre order in for vr2 because if PS5 is anything to go by not getting a VR preorder and you will be waiting a few years to get one.

Still a very healthy number of subs, but PS+ memberships surprisingly declined with the rollout of the new take on the service.

I keep having to remind myself to cancel my Premium membership on 11/14, I put it on my calendar. Last year, I forgot and paid full price instead of half off on CDKeys

I only did Premium because it was a $8 difference for the remaining time of membership. Premium isn't worth it for me. I'm switching to Extra on the renew date.
