Sony has tampered expectations with the last several State of Plays. But for them to only say don't expect PSVR 2, then I expect a big show. But with just 40 minutes, I don't know that you're going to see many trailers. You have to expect a few indies. I don't expect much live gameplay. Maybe around 7-10 games

I don't expect Spider-Man 2 info until probably a year from now. I do expect GOW. I don't think we need to see anything from Horizon Forbidden West in this event, that could be in a State of Play in December or January. Maybe GT7, but not sure on that either. Like I said, I fully expect GTA V re-remaster. Probably might announce the Blue Point acquisition.

I dont know if its because of covid or because of how nintendo has done things and sony trying to copy that or a little bit of both but it seems like ever sense last year so for the last like 20 months or so that Sony has been very unpredictable and random with how and when they announce things. I have hated it part of it is I miss the true e3 days. This years e3 was beyond a joke over all. 2020 we didnt get e3 because of covid and 2019 e3 was really bad over all from nintendo and Microsoft and sony not being there. So last time we really got a e3 worth anything was 2018.

Its hard to say because we have not had a big sony show in like a year. So hard to be confident but depending on how long things are you can show a lot of games in 40 minutes has nintendo directs of like 30-40 minutes at times have had some really good stuff shown.

Spiderman 2 teaser I think is pretty likely like 70% and I would almost guaranty that we will not have to wait a full year to have spiderman 2 announced has I think it will be a early 2023 game with how fast insomanic is and with them having more than 1 team. If its a early 2023 game I don't think they will wait infill only like 6 months or so before it comes out to announce it. Small teaser now and than around a year from now gameplay I could see.

I think it's a combination of COVID and a lot of pivoting in 2019-2020. For example I don't think they had any initial plans to include backward compatibility and the end result is we've got limitations / incompatible PS4 games on the PS5. I also kinda wonder if they originally intended to release it a year later and moved things up.

Shows like E3 were already in a weird place before COVID, that stuff is still shaking out.

I don't see Sony announcing any games for PS+ unless it's an AA/Indie game for October or later. September's games have already been announced. I could see Factions being ready to show from Naughty Dog but that's it. God of War Ragnarok is guaranteed in my opinion. Of course, it could be a CGI trailer or gameplay. I'm hoping for gameplay but I wouldn't be surprised if it's CGI.

Gran Turismo 7 should probably be there. 50/50 on Horizon 2. They showed a little bit of it at Gamescom with the release date and a 30 second pre-order trailer. They may not want to waste any time on it. I could see Guerrilla revealing their MP FPS led by the guy who led Rainbow Six Siege.

Would love to see what London Studio is working on as they've been heavily rumored to be working on an AAA PS5 title. We could also see a teaser trailer from the Malaysia studio as a top executive there hyped the showcase on Twitter.

I don't see anything being shown from Sucker Punch, Bend Studio, Insomniac or Housemarque. Dreams PS5 could be a possibility but I think they would be better suited to port that to PC where it would do so much better. Your MLB VR guess sounds intriguing but Sony said that there will be no PSVR announcements at the showcase.

Abandoned??? lol. Going based on the studio's track record, I don't believe that there's even a game. I think it's all bullcrap. Haven Studio is still hiring and most likely not even in pre-production. We'll be waiting a while to see their game unless they do a logo and release details via a blog post or something. My guess is just too early for them.

From Software is rumored to be developing a PS5 exclusive but it's not Bloodborne 2. It's a new IP.

I would love The Order sequel but sadly, I don't see that ever happening. I don't think COD will be on the showcase. They had a pretty long segment at Keighley's Gamescom show so I will say that's a no-show.

As for Insomniac, I wouldn't be surprised if they announce a Sunset Overdrive remaster and/or sequel.

Most of Sony's studios are where Microsoft's studios have been the last few years. Either about to release a game or already did within the last year.

I'm expecting FF16, Forspoken, launch trailers for Death Stranding DC and Deathloop, a new Kena trailer and new trailer for Hogwarts Legacy. And of course, God of War Ragnarok.

Hoping for a good showcase since it's their first major event in a year.

Should have been clearer Peter. PS+ has been the same for quite some time now with the exception of adding a game for the PS5. I'm hoping that they add more towards PS+ by giving access to more of Sony's entertainment library (Music/Movies) thus adding more value.

As I said before, this was my first full year of PS+. I'm not an online player. What made it worth it was the PS Plus Collection. The first couple PS pus games of the month was alright. But haven't downloaded any since about January. I'm likely to get another subscription when it goes on sale. Storage and modes that require Online, are the primary reason why I would get another. I'm so disappointed in myself that I didn't do a good job of maintaining save files on my PS4 before I sold it. I don't have any games from 2017-20. So Cloud storage helps.

I wouldn't mind subscribing to a PS Plus/Now bundle if it was around $90 combined. Or like you said, access to movies or Funimation/Crunchyroll would add more value

PS collection is why I sub to PS+ currently, but I'm probably going to pause it for a bit soon until I get more active on my consoles again.

I'm in the same boat. PS Plus Collection was the main reason I'm subbed. But I don't play online and I haven't been very active at all on my PS5 in the last 5-6 months, so I'm debating on not extending it until at least a 50% off sale for Ps Plus.

Sony is testing out movies and TV shows with a new service but I think it's only in Europe if it's even still going. They could add movies/music to PS+ especially since they removed it all a few months ago or they could just be rebranding it.

I don't think they show VR at all. This is Sony's first major showcase in a year. Majority don't want to see VR, Indies and smaller games. People want their bangers and top tier titles being shown. Sony can easily do a separate VR showcase for any games coming in the future. Besides, didn't they just reveal a few new VR games a few months ago including Moss 2? It's possible but I would be surprised considering that I have seen at least 8 Sony executives hyping up the showcase.

As for MLB The Show stuff, I don't see them talking about the game at all on the showcase. They're already getting ready for next year's version which I believe also includes a Switch version.

So getting this the day before the showcase. Seems like the showcase could be a big one being we have not had a big show for like a year and the fact they are showing this the day before. Also the fact we are getting more talking after the show meaning the 40 minutes can go a long way with just being like trailer after trailer. Sucker punch I think is likely going to be making a ghost of Tsushima 2 but being its only been a year sense the game came out and they did the expansion and the online mode its going to be a while before we see anything from them. Btw the online mode has the new 2 player mode that came out today. Do they have a second team? I don't think they do.

Maybe we will see a new game from PixelOpus. They are one of the smaller PlayStation Studios. There last game was concrete genie a small game beat it in like 2-3 days but was a fun game. Its been almost 2 years sense it came out.

They're no longer exclusive to Playstation but they've done announcements with them in the past and there's talk that David Cage and Quantic Dream are going to soon make an announcement of a new game that's in development.

F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch came out tonight. It's a indie game that cost $30. Played the game for about 2 hours tonight game is amazing. Beat a boss was pretty intense boss fight and a lot of fun the combat is.
