The new PS Plus tier system starts today. For me to upgrade to Extra is $17 vs $25 for Premium and that's good for the next 5 months that my subscription is good for. I'm not really interested in premium because I don't care for game trials or cloud streaming. But, I'm debating doing Premium for the next 5 months, just so I can add some of the Classic titles to my library. I'm interested in Extra, but for 8 more dollars, I'm leaning towards doing Premium until subscription is up for more games. Then I'll cancel it right before it runs out, and get the Extra tir.

I think that’s how it works. Like once you cancel and drop a tier all the games you got at the higher tier won’t be playable anymore.

I upgraded to Premium for $90 through 12/23, I’m excited to see what they’ll offer.

I just wonder how often they will update classic games. Just hope it isn't like the PS Plus Collection which never got games added to it. They're are plenty of games that I can see being added to it.

Glad a game like Heavy Rain is included, that's a game I've thought about time to time. Not surprised about previous Crash Bandicoots not being added because of the Xbox acquisition of Activision. I see a good opportunity to add any of the previous Metal Gear Solid games. Actually was surprised that none were available

That's what i was thinking about when I was debating it. But, I haven't really played much at all in the last 5 months and don't really have anything upcoming I'm looking forward to in the next 5 months, so it gives me time to focus on those games first.
Plus I don't think they'll add classic games like that for a while. Only other classic games I want to play is the Metal Gear Solid games.

The Extra tier for $99 per year seems so worth it. If the idea is that bigger games eventually end up there 12 months or more after release, along with a good selection of smaller games, that sounds good to me. I honestly have zero interest in streaming games in the Premium tier, but hopefully that is viable and enjoyable for people.

It does seem like 12-15 months later we'll see the big games. Like Returnal and GOT Director's Cut being on it after a year is big. That definitely seems worth it. That has me thinking that if I can stay patient and wait a year or so, those bigger games will be on the Extra tier and you don't have to deal with all the initial bugs.

Yeah I agree on Premium. Cloud Streaming doesn't interest me. Game Trials doesn't either. Only thing I can ever see me wanting to trial is maybe a sports game. Only thing that has me want to finish my subscription at Premium is to play the Classic games first and then drop down to Extra when sub is up

The main benefit being more select PS4/PS5 titles that are included. Which are good quality titles. Especially that it seems like they are games that released with 2 years.

I can the newest Ratchet and Clank being on there within the next 6 months. And Kena as well

Like what the other poster said extra ps4/5 games. I upgraded to play returnal and the directors cut of ghost of Tsushima and death stranding.

I upgraded to extra but I’ll be honest. I’m not too impressed so far. A lot of trash games that are maybe fun for kids.

Looks like Spider-Man was removed from PS Now. Couldn't get it working yesterday (and presumably my save from PS5 wouldn't come over anyways), but is no longer visible on the service.

So with the new PS+ having a lot more games available for download/streaming does anyone know if this works similarly to how Spotify/Music streaming works where the artist (devs in this case) get peanuts in return or are they fairly compensated.

Should I turn off the HDR on my PS5 when I go into stream a PS3 game? I noticed it stays on even when I have it set to "only when supported". Does it cause any lag when left on? Thanks.
