Two questions.

1. IF I order the HD service then does that mean every channel will come out crystal clear or just certain channels?
2. How much will it cost?

1. only the channels that broadcast in HD will be the ones you will receive in HD. for example: fox, abc, nbc, cbs (best channel), shotime, hbo, hd-net, hd-net movies, discovery hd, espn-hd. Also, you're local tv affiliate has to have the capability to broadcast these channels. if they don't then you're SOL.

2. i have direcTV, and our hd package is $10.99, now with cable i'm not sure, but i'm sure with their hd package, you're total bill would be in the $50 range, just a guesstimate

Cox is my cable provider and I pay an additional $9.00 for the HD service. I channels that are provided to me are NBC, CBS, ABC, ESPN, INHD 1&2, PBS. I paid an additional $9.00 for HBO. FOX should be coming out in HD sometime later this year.

just got a 30" Phillips widescreen TV it not sure if it's HD or not but it does have the compoent inputs in the back the Green, Blue and Red along with the normal yellow red and white. my question is I have the HD pack for the Xbox or the HD advance pack whichever it's called will I get the better picture quality as in the 480P not sure if I will get that or not as I don't know if it's HD or salesman said it was HD Ready which I know you need the Box to get the TV Signals but how will it workwith the xbox and if I play dvds on xbox will I get the better picture quality as well.. thanks for any help

well if you're going to be playing your dvd's off of your xbox, the best quality you'll get is 480p. which is quite good, it won't look as good as progressive scan beause the xbox doesn't do that. if your tv has the component inputs, it will at least do 480p. check with the different settings in the dashboard and see if it goes supports any of the higher resolutions.

Only HDTV's can play 480p right. I have a tv with the componet inputs on the back but it is not HD. There is no way for me to get 480p right?
