I think they have a deal where you could rent that equipment, or they give it to you one. Call them about it. Either way, I know you can't lose because it won't cost you much at all.

thanks man, i just looked online on their website and its only 5 bucks a month extra to have them lease you a high definition set!!! They offer espn, hbo and all these shows in hd.

Lots and lots of good info in this thread. I'm going to be taking the HD plunge in the next couple of months, and want to get the most out of everything that I own (xbox, DVD, TV) and the main question i have revolves around xbox and 720p. After reading the information here, it is my understanding that there are not too many TV's that support 720p. Playing xbox games in 720p or 420p will not be the deciding factor on a TV, but I would at least want to see if I could find a suitable TV that supports 720.

Does anyone have a list of TV's and/or manufacturers that support 720p? I am currently taking a hard look at Mitsubishi and one of their 55 inch sets, but it does not support 720p.

Another question...if 720p is so rare, why do so many games not have 1080i capability? Is it a hardware limitation with the xbox? Obviously I'm pretty new at this so any information would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Can someone help me out.
I have a Toshiba 50HD80 TV and I recently upgraded my receiver from my cable company (Brighthouse) to a HD receiver.
I noticed that I have RGB input jacks on the back of that receiver. Is this where I plug in my RGB cables coming from my XBOX?
I tried this but can't get the TV to recognize I have this "peripheral" devise attached.

Any ideas?

I feel that my MVP 2004 looks dreadful. I can't even begin to make out some of the information I see on the large stadium scoreboards and the turf seems very grainy to me.
