not sure about those Receivers Casey. But I bought an outdoor antenna from radio shack for $50 and put it in our attic. Works great. You may or may not pick up anything with the boomerang antenna but it is worth a shot. It all depends on how far you live away from the broadcast towers.

It's possible they don't , but could ask them if they can give you one if it's not too expensive.

I saw the one that you have at Radio Shack today. I almost picked it up (on sale for $39.99 right now), but I keep hearing that outdoor antennas are better than indoor when you're trying to pick up that HD signal, and since I live about 75 miles north of Phoenix, I'll probably need all the help I can get.

They definitely don't give you an OTA antenna, but they said that one should work fine for HD Local. Radio Shack has a boomerang shaped one that they recommend. It's about $75. I just found out that HD is going to cost not only $10 per month extra, but another $5 because they say that if you want HD and DVR on the same TV, you need to have a second DVR as one of your other receivers. Anyone know what they're talking about? Also, anyone have experience with one of those shared tuners vs. 1 for each room? It saves $5, and basically in one room I'd have a remote that runs off radio signal so a separate box isn't required and you still have different viewing in each room. Does that make sense, and does anyone have this?
I am getting that. I have the HDTV receiver for the family room, and then the DVR is going in the living room, and the 2nd TV will be our bedroom. I'm not going to worry about TV on the other 2 rooms for the time being. But that's correct, one box, 2 tv's, and DVR functions on both. It's the DVR 522, and the HDTV receiver is the 811. Mine all comes on the 16th of October, we should be fully moved into our new house by then.

                    Here's a question for everyone:

I just got a largescreen for the living room, and I'm moving my Wega tube tv into the bedroom. I'm getting Dish or Direct tv, have a PS2, and have a DVD that will be attaching to this Wega. The Wega has one component, one svideo, and a couple composite inputs. I have a Monster PS2 component cable already that I've had for a while. Assuming I use that for the component input (so that I don't waste it), that leaves me with an svideo and a composite. Should I run the DVD on the Svideo or run the dish reciever on the Svideo? I'm not sure how much difference svideo would make over composite on Dish with that TV, and along the same lines, I'm not sure how much difference svideo would make over composite on a Toshiba DVD (not progressive scan or anything). I would welcome any suggestions.

Why not just use the PS2 for DVD playback, and put the Dish receiver on the S-video? Then you won't have to use the composite at all.

I've never really liked using the PS2 for DVD playback and my memory card is pretty full anyway. Also, that would waste the DVD player I have.

Okay. I would put the TV on S-video since I would watch that the most.
