<hr /></blockquote><font class="post">I'm also on the fence. They have 25 HD channels now and will have 39 by Feb. All the other places have 7 at the most. But not having ESPN as a regular or HD channel is big deal for me. If ESPN is one of the 14 new HD channels they're adding, i'm sold.

Yes, but they have had a free trial although you pay the money, and get refunded if you change your mind. I also know that you paid $425 for 7 directv channels, but the 25 voom channels don't all seem to be worth watching. They need ESPN, and a few other channels to get more people's attention. Maybe they should lower the price, but with more customers that is likely, and with more time assuring people that they won't just shut down one day from not being able to maintain.

Can you list the advantages of Directv right now Heelfan?

I just want all of the info I can to be put out so I can see what direction the 2 companies are going in.

                              Hey everyone,
i just bought an xbox high def a/v pack so i can play xbox games on my hdtv..games like espn basketball and football can be run at 720p..the only problem i have is that my HDTV supports only 480i, 480p, and 1080i..does this make a difference or the picture wont look as good? i did play a couple games and i didn't notice a huge difference..the players were more smooth and clearer looking..also does anyone recommend i also buy a 300x gamelink monster cables for $20..will it make a difference?
