So the red/blue/green is 3 on each side... its ok to leave 2 slots emtpy on the back of my tv then?

Hold on, you do have an HDTV and have an HDTV reciever right? It doesn't sound right that they wouldn't give you the proper connection.

yeah, hdtv and reciever, for some reason wrong cables... the TV has 5 slots on the back under AV4 and the reciever has hmm about 9 but i think only 5 are differnt. It has like a Y ry, by. The colors are red, white bluie yellow and red.

What are the two empty slots. The tv should say component on it, and it has the three colored jacks right under the name.

Arg, i cant read it. It looks like Pr and some other letter and another r...

i'd assume the 5 slots on the back of my TV would match the 5 different colors on the back of my reciever.

The Y ry Pb lines are for your dvd player if you have component cables hooked up to your dvd player instead of the regular red white and yellow plug.


There should be a section that says component on your tv. You hook the red blue and green into those jacks. What kind of tv do you have? Maybe I can look it up and tell you what I'm saying better.
