there will be a price difference. The Tantus are coming with integrated Tuners and cablecard. I think there will be a $1000 difference between the Tantus and the base. Don't hold me to that number, its a rumor.

FYI on cablecards... Check with your cable providers to see if they will be supporting the cablecards in the near future and what the charge will be. I've heard rumors here in San Diego that the cablecards will not be supported right away. When they are supported, you will not have to rent a box, but you will have to rent the card. I'm sure things are different with every cable company.

Anyone have a suggestion of a good HDTV antenna to receive local channels? I am in an apartment, I purchased the Terk HDTVi antenna, and I couldn't get squat. I have heard that the Radio Shack one is the best for indoor antenna's. I'm also looking at the Terk TV55, it's just a monster antenna though, but I could lay it on top of my entertainment center and it would be invisible. Thanks in advance.

The best advice I can give you is to not be caught up in the marketing that Trek (just as bad as Bose) puts out there. How far are you from the towers and are most on them in the same direction? At my dorm (35 miles from towers) I was using this RCA ANT1020 and got great results. It gave me better signal strength there then I got at my parents house using an out door antenna; they live less than 5 miles from all the TV towers for DFW. My dorm was killer for interference and if you didn't have Sprint or AT&T you could kiss cell phone coverage good bye once you walked into the building. The futuristic styling that Trek has, probably does more harm than good. Back in 98' they had a "HDTV" antenna, it was orange and oval shaped and cost more than $250. UHF is UHF and VHF is VHF so there really is no point to call an antenna made for HDTV.
