HTPC stands for home theatre pc. i use my computer to record all of my shows. it also serves for high definition computer gaming. later i plan on using it to basically control my whole home theater

Just if anyone else is interested. The new Toshiba DLPs are at various Best Buys. They aren't bad. I hate the speakers on the side though!

what about integrated tuners? I'm really liking this Toshiba DLP with the integrated tuner. The speakers on the side look dumb as hell, but I like the PQ.

integrated tuners are a hassle in my opinion. i just think it's better to have them seperate. if it's integrated, unless you can take out the tuner, you have to send in the whole unit

However im not trying to spend over $1600
