most SD stuff will look like crap. You TV is showing a better resolution of picture, thus the distortion of regular programming is magnified by the higher resolution. Thus, it looks worse.

Hey guys, which HD receiver do I need to get in order to have my tv in HD? the Directv one or the ESPN one?

I already have a HD ready tv, I just need to know which receiver to get.

ESPN doesnt have a reciever. You can get the reciever through your satellite or cable company. If you have Directv then that's who you call to get it.

probably need to call DTV. I think it is $399 (unless they lowered the price recently). You get a receiver and new oval dish. That includes installation.

Dang, I knew that it cost a bit, but I didn't think that it would cost that much. Wonder why I would have to get a new dish for?

you need the oval dish to pick up the HD satellite. I think the receiver I got cost $600 to buy it alone with no dish if I just walked into a store and bought it.

I'm sure they can add the amount to your bill so that you wont have to pay it all at once.
