    King Kong

Anybody else excited to see this? It looks really good. I saw an extended trailer for it at E! and I couldnt take my eyes off of it. It was like Jurassic Park 4, King Kong is born! LOL

Anyways, as an added incentive, X-Men 3, the trailer will be played! Woo-hoo!

I saw a special on dateline a few nights ago and it got me pretty excited. Before that I didn't even care.

The most shocking thing to me about the show, though, was Jackson - he lost about 10,000 lbs and looks completely different.

I think visually it looks amazing. Maybe the movie will be good too. I'll go see it over the Christmas break. I never cared for the classic King Kong tales, but I'll give this one a go for sure.

It actually doesn't though. If you've been watching all the press on it - it actually looks like it could be an amazing movie. Jackson's no fool - he's one of the few I would trust in making a movie of this kind. I wouldn't underestimate this movie one second.

I can't wait for it partly because of x-men 3 trailer but also I loved the 1930s version!

I was all over this movie even before the several great reviews it's gotten, but now I'm really all over it. Loved the original, love what Peter Jackson did with LOTR, love long movies, and love escapist adventure movies like the King Kong story. I might do the opening night thing for this one.

It is actually ::gasp!:: getting Oscar talk.

I didn't expect much from this at all, pretty much another Godzilla-quality remake, but it is actually getting high marks which is pretty amazing for any movie with any giant animal.

                        Re: King Kong

I will be seeing this in the theatres which generally means it's worth the money. I don't usually go to the theatres for movies and when i do it's usually a good flick. (the last "bad" movie I saw in the theatres was TMNT 2)

I saw an interview with a reviewer on CNBC about this movie and it sounds like it's going to break the mold from other monster movies. I'm actually interested in how KING KONG will act as he's supposed to be about 50 years old as opposed to the young ape that we see in the other versions.

Oh and I also love long movies so that's a plus.

Wow I just saw a video clip of him and he does look completely different. I can't believe how skinny he is now.

Yeah, it took me a couple days of glancing at the latest Premiere cover to even realize who the heck it was. Guy did well for himself.
