Man, I don't know what to say about this finale. One thing's for sure. It had a totally "weird' feel to it, almost like it was a different show, but it was still crazy.

Henderson getting killed was DEFINITELY a shock. I just had my mouth open when that happened.

I don't like all this sappy crap between characters like Bill and Karen (wtf?), Jack and Audrey, and the like. It's like, man, who cares?

The Chloe/Edgar picture was really touching, man. I hated seeing that.

WTF? THAT was who Chloe was married to before? What in the world? Oh well, Morris came up big.

The Bauer/Logan showdown was INTENSE. Wow. When he got "captured" by Logan's guys, I didn't know what to think. They just swarmed in on him. It was one of the only times where Jack had "chickened out" so to speak, but I guess he knew better with the mic-ed up pen.

Domestic violence in the hanger with Martha and Logan was damn intense too. Good thing that pen was there, because it obviously proved to be huge.

Mike's and Martha's faces were HILARIOUS when Logan was being carried off. I would have been happy with a last shot of Logan being driven off, but I didn't even realize there was still like 20 minutes left.

The "Kim Call" was too obvious, but then again, we didnt know whether it'd be the Chinese or the Bluetooth dudes. I figured it was the Chinese because of the guy that told Jack about the call, and I told my brother that, but he didnt really buy it. They knew that Kim was a great way to sap Jack into coming in and taking the call.

The last scene was AMAZING. Bauer, bloody and beaten, in a dark room on a cargo ship going to Shanghai? Wow. Cliffhanger for sure, and next season is too far away. What the HELL is going to happen? I don't understand the big deal of killing a consul anyway. So f'n what. We had to do what we had to do, and the freakin' guy was caught in cross-fire anyway. Too freakin' bad. I mean, it's big, but it seems a bit of a stretch that they're making the Chinese have this big of a cow about it.

IMHO, this was a great season. And that was one of the best finales in 24's history.

I knew Jack was going to be assaulted when he went in to take that call, I just didn't know the Chinese would be behind it.

I hope Jack's back as the main character next season, and that next season will be as good as this season was.

I thought this season was great too but season 1 will always be the best for me. Where this season got off track (at times in the middle) is when they involve too much personal story lines. Nobody cares about that - its just time filler. Cut the show down a few epidsodes if you have to but don't show personal crap.

As for Jack, he will definately be the main character. They will be shooting 24 the Movie in London England soon. Maybe they will make the season finale next year lead into the movie. Who knows?

As for whoever said Chase will be back - why would you want that? I thought he sucked plus he dumped Kim and obviously is a loser.

What next.Will Audrey have any role next year(she has a new show on abc, so I doubt she will be on).How long will pass between seasons.Will it pick up with the boat or sometime later with Jack in China.

I'm guessing, in normal 24 fashion that next year will be a year or so later. Jack will be in some torture camp trying to escape. Although, then it's just Prison Break, so who knows.

I agree. Nina was the best evil character ever on the show and made season one the best ever imo. The fact she was a mole made her even better.

there is at least one or two moles a season...so being a mole in CTU isn't anything too great.

However, she is, by far, the best mole.

Henderson, Nina and Marwan are the best baddies, though.

The finale did what most season finales are supposed to do, wrapped up the main conflict, and sets up next year's main conflict. I could care less if Curtis, Wayne, Palmer, Secretary Heller, or the VP were in the show. Maybe if the episode took place over more than 2 hours they could have and should have gotten tossed in, but it doesn't.

I think, while it wasn't the greatest finale of this television series it was satisfying. Everyone was bitching about no mention of the chinese earlier this year and now we got it. ( I think the "do you think that we would forget" comment was a nod to the fans).

To anyone who complains about 24 not being "realistic" I have a nice show for you, its called "the news", its very realistic, a little over sensational and there are no boobies though, but I think you'll like it.

I still have a couple questions coming out of the finale regarding the guys Logan worked for. I believe that Logan was doing all this because he thought in the long run it would help the country regarding cheaper access to oil, but was the masterminds' plan as well? I never got the impression it was, nor do I think they were after the same goals that Walt Cummings thought the plan was working torwards. These guys just didn't seem like patriots to me, fanatical or otherwise. I just didn't get that whole group, I would have rather had Logan and Henderson be the masterminds behind the whole operation.

Anyways, as for the season as a whole. It was great just like all the other 24 seasons, but this one isn't one of my favorites. I think it is just because of all the people that died, really made this season a downer for me. I was a big fan of Tony, Michelle, and Edgar. Losing them really bothered me in terms of enjoyment. Same thing with Palmer, but it's not like there was much left to his story. He wasn't President anymore and last season they used the plot of bringing him in as a consultant, I wouldn't have wanted that same thing to occur again. And I don't see Palmer running around with a gun alongside of Jack.

Oh trust me it would be possibly a bigger deal in real life or the same. The consul dying because of an attack is considered to be an attack on China soil so the show is not exaggerating it at all.

And they are not saying they directly killed him but since he died at the result of them attacking the place, then it's considered there fault.

Okay I have a lot of thoughts on this season and the future but for this post I will only talk about why this season dropped a few notches.

The addition of the Bluetooth Gang didn’t make any sense. And you can’t simply say they were minor characters so who really cares. From their scenes they had a partnership with the “main bad guy” President Logan. It even appeared the Bluetooth Gang was above the President asking him for updates. The motive of the Bluetooth Gang was never explained. They never said they were Patriots or were greedy for power or money.

The 24 writers have done a great job of explaining twists and storylines. I tried to come up with an explanation but I couldn’t. The most obvious one is that they are somehow connected to the Chinese and basically gave Bauer to them at the end. But then I realized that wouldn’t make any sense. Ever since the Bluetooth Gang appeared, they kept on telling Logan that Bauer had to be taken care of. They even went as far as to tell Logan he needed to shoot down the plane that had Bauer because he had the recording. So basically the Bluetooth Gang wanted him dead. Selling him to the Chinese wouldn’t make any sense.

It was never explained how the Bluetooth Gang got the intel that Bauer had taken over the plane. The only way they would have received that information was from inside CTU. (and no don’t tell me the mole officer that helped Bierko escape was the person that told the Bluetooth gang what happened). Which means there had to be a mole which was never explained.

It’s important to note the final 4 episodes were re-written. I believe Chloe was suppose to turn out as a bad guy in the final episode but the writers changed their mind after the negative reaction to Edgar’s death. The inclusion of Morris was really odd. It seemed thrown together at the last minute. Chloe needed to do a digital audio transfer but she could only do it at a Comm 650 level whereas Morris had the skills to do it at a Comm 680 level. If Chloe had been revealed as a bad guy, it would have explained how the Bluetooth Gang was getting their intel from CTU. They could have just simply explained Chloe was under appreciated at CTU and she got greedy.

I highly doubt the writers intended to add the Bluetooth Gang for no reason. It’s obvious to me there was a change in plans late in the season and they were too deep into filming to completely remove them from the storyline.

I hope Jon Cassar does commentary on the final 1/3rd episodes of the season. I would like to hear what he says about them.


On a less serious note, President Logan is either a "2 Pump Chump" or Martha Logan is highly skilled in the bedroom. From the foreplay to the conclusion, their romp only lasted 6 minutes.
