it's just another double standard...similar to the one where if a guy sleeps around with tons of women he gets an "Attaboy" whereas if i woman sleeps around with tons of guys she's a whore. They're not right, but it's how people think.

Women won't hesitate to knife any guy in a movie who cheats on his wife, no matter what the circumstances, but somehow infidelity on the woman's part is understandable if it's a case like the Horse Whisperer like you mention.

              Re: Brokeback Mountain

Will not watch it. Not because I am not "open minded" enough, (one of my good friends in HS came out recently and it hasnt changed our relationship one bit--honestly) but because I really dont enjoy "Westerns", and I dont think I would enjoy watching guy on guy action.

I watch movies because they interest me. Just because a person doesnt want to watch Brokeback doesnt necessarily mean they are homophobic or not "open minded".

Question for those who think people who wont watch Brokeback are not open minded. Will you watch an all-guy porno with an open mind? If gay porn doesnt interest you, does that make you a "homophobe"?

                What a terrible comparision.

Is there a point to porno besides sexual excitement? No ... and since man-on-man action doesn't crank my gears, why would I watch it? It serves no other function.

Brokeback Mountain is an acclaimed film by an award-winning director that examines love and loss ... and it happens to have gay characters. The movie's not about getting you hot'n'bothered, anymore than Titanic was.

Ya, I figured someone would blurt out "Its Not Gay Porn You HomoPhobe" lol.

My point (and I probably didnt communicate this very well) was that people choose to watch or not watch movies for different reasons. Just because someone says they arent watching Brokeback doesnt mean they are arent accepting of different lifestyles--just that it might not interest them.

I just dont find 2 guys falling in love to be "entertaining".

There is nothing like hot, sweaty, lust-filled man-on-man action. NOTHING!!!

Oh boy, I'm getting a tinkle down below just thinking about. Oh my.

My freind, you haven't witnessed entertainment till you've seen a gay love story. You'll practically be whisped away by butterflies out of your insecure shell....

No seriously, if you dont think the movie will be entertaining, its because you dont like those type of movies. Not gay movies but what its being sold as, "a love story". I dont care for it for the same reason. I would'nt watch it even if it was a girl and guy, I've never been into those type of movies. Nobody in here claimed anyone was a homophobe because they did'nt want to see this movie. And think about this, its usually true homophobes who claim they have no problem with gays.

You want to rent this movie????

Maybe you need to check yourself.

You might have a little "sugar in your tank"???

You couldn't pay me $1000 in cash to see this f***ing PoS movie.

So he might have "sugar in his tank" because he might rent the movie? And it's a POS movie, yet you haven't actually watched it?

                          Good thinking.

do they eat pudding? j/k, but the movie doesnt sound to intresting to me. I like my cowboys to shoot people, round up cattle, mend fences, and defend the alamo. I get enough romance from having to watch lifetime with my wife, last thing I need is cowboys rubbing each other.

Cartman: No dude, independent films are those black and white hippie movies. They're always about gay cowboys eating pudding.

Wenday: No they're not. Independent films are produced outside the hollywood system. They're movies without all the glitch and glamour of Hollywood.

Cartman: Well, you show one independent film that isn't about gay cowboys eating pudding.

I haven't heard anyone who has actually seen the movie call it a "POS". And how would you know anyway if you haven't seen it?
