Thank you for letting me know. I think Hathaway is one of the hottest girls around.

Well, i have no interest in seeing the movie. The homosexuality is pretty much the turnoff.

Depends on the movie. If I only wanted to watch two women go after it, then I'd just go straight for the knockout and get an all-girl porno.

                  So wrong.

I don't know about this movie. I'll be honest...I'm not the most open minded person, so i don't think I'd go see it, but I hope it does win some awards because I've heard nothing but good things about it.

I'm not going to address the whole "larger issues debate going on here. Done to death. I think the original poster was looking for some feedback on the film itself, and I might be the only one to provide it.

This was an EXCELLENT film. Great acting, great characters, excellent cinematography. Honestly, the film might seem like a gimmick if the performance and screenplay didn't "sell it" so damn well.

And I don't want to spoil the film for anyone, but the "cheating" is motivated well, not made lightweight or superficial like in other romance films.

And let me be clear, "chick flicks/romances" are NOT my cup of tea either. However, that doesn't mean I avoid them entirely, I DO appreciate a well made, well-acted, substantial portrayal of a relationship. This film fulfills that. I think anyone who gives it a fair shot will be surprised.

We're going to end this thread on this post because it finally got back on topic.

Bottom line is that a movie can be about poisoning unsuspecting goats in Nebraska and still be a well made, beautifully shot, wonderfully acted movie. And a well made, beautifully shot, wonderfully acted movie can also go unseen if the plot doesn't interest you.

Thanks you (MOST) for staying somewhat civil.
