It would be "full circle"...even if it's considered lame. They were all over the first season, from the comments to Dr. Melfi, the pool, etc.

Seeing them waddle over Tony's grave, or some other momentous occasion would be a perfect topper to the greatest television drama in history.

The ducks would be kind of obvious and a little cheesy, but would be a satisfying ending in a lot of ways.

However, obvious and cheesy aren't in Chase's vocabulary for the most part.

        Agreed.

Only a couple weeks away to the last episodes. Can't wait. Currently watching season 6 PT 1 to refresh my mind.

I did too, but I've watched every Sopranos episode three times over. I think the little guy "Butch" will be a major headache for Tony. By the way, I don't see the resemblance:

Is Butch the guy who confronts Tony in the hospital during Kaisha?

"We got to stop meeting like this, huh?"

Maybe it won't be dramatic as the dust-buster blow/impromptu shank 'em from late Part I, but I predict a bad end for that character. lol.

                Yeah, show never gets old.

As far as the picture, minor resemblance. The brows are there.

spoiler i guess for anyone who hasnt seen season one and wants to catch up...

in season one, there was a family of ducks living in Tony's pool. He was in the pool playing with them and they suddenly flew away. That triggered Tony's first panic attack. Dr. Melfi told him some freudian stuff about what the ducks flying away meant to him in his subconscious, and he's been seeing her ever since.

they cover a lot of character development through physchology with Tony and Melfi. but a lot of times they go too far with that part of the show imo, especially lately.

LOL, I was being sarcastic, I think there is a big resemblance.

Tony talking to Melfi is the weakest part of the show IMO. If he really revealed feelings and his deep dark fears it might be interesting but most of what he says is just recapping stuff we already know albeit in a toned-down version. It's really quite boring IMO, those scenes are...

I agree to a point. The best show Melfi was in was when she got raped, because she (Lorraine Bracco) actually got to show her acting chops. I thought the weakest part of the show was Tony's "Mommy Dearest" played too well by the late Nancy Marchand.

It was good first two seasons or so.

Not it just gives you a chance to talk what just happened in that episodes with people that are watching with you.

The Melfi scenes do exactly what they're supposed to do; show psychiatry for what it is. Tony had a breakthrough early on with Melfi and his panic attacks, but since then he goes to gripe and look at her legs. It's kind of a waste of time (as it's portrayed) because Tony doesn't want to really talk about anything of significance.

Melfi made reference last season to Tony on the verge of a breakthrough in therapy. I would be surprised if that didn't happen soon.

Maybe that willl really make for some interesting scenes then, as it is now they just clutter up the show.
