    Re: Tag you're it!

Some times I think feeling bad about yourself can be a good thing...im not talking deep depression, but just the feeling that you can do better. I used to be a chubby when I was a kid. I was never great athletically and I was S L O W. But in about 9th grade I decided I didn't want to be fat anymore. So I started eating better and working out more. I went from like 5'11 180 to like 6'3 175 my senior year....and what do you know...my self esteem increased

      No real shocker.

Kids that grow up in this generation are going to turn out to be such naive, over protected, pansys....it makes me sick.

When I coached T-ball a few years ago we weren't allowed to keep score because the kids were just supposed to have fun. of course they would always ask after the game if they won, we always said yes.

Every generation hates the next generation.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Hell, I hate most of my own generation.

It just gets worse and worse, and this story shows it.

That's because each generation is more stupid than the previous.

No, this would show something different. "This generation", the one that isn't going to be able to play tag, and be "pansys" as you had said,....well its not their fault. The people who are taking actions against competition at a young age are the parents, who are older than you and I.

That's the perception but it's not the reality.

Then imagine what it's going to be like when these same kids who aren't allowed to play tag, or get a real punishment (spankings), or anything of the sort turn around 20 years later and raise kids. Those kids will be basically in a strait jacket, not allowed to do anything because they might get hurt.

Welcome to social darwinism, kiddies. If you're fat and slow, maybe tag isn't your thing.

True. Hate to go off-topic but some kids/teenagers these days have no respect/little for their elders. You can't even lay a finger on your kid without social services coming in. Their was a case where a kid was getting spanked and he called 9-1-1 on his parents. The cops came to the house and arrested the mom.

                            No respect I tell ya................

At least tag makes fat people run and get some exercise ... LOL

Yeah because everyone raises their kids just like how their parents raised them.

There's a difference between spanking a kid and beating them. And every generation says the exact same thing. Kids are always less respectful apparently. The same people who say that know that they were just as bad when they were kids.
