All I know is that if/when I become a dad, I'm going to take the Red Foreman (That 70s Show) approach to raising my kids. And I will teach them the joys of playing tag!!!

I love it! So this is what we come to, not letting kids playing anything anymore? There is nothing purer than playing tag as a kid, but now all the extreme liberals think its to "hurtful" to ones self esteem. I guess i better not let my kid outdoors and better just duck tape him to a bed post to make sure his feeling arent hurt.

I loved dodgeball, but that is a very dangerous game lol. I can see that game being gone.

I don't care what anybody say dodgeball is dangerous lol. Great game, but South Park had it right lol. Tag is a good game too, and less dangerous, but probably make the kid feel like a loser lmao. Oh well their is always hopsotch and four cornors lol.

How hard can a 3rd grader throw a ball?

True, so we have a age limt for DB, no one over third grade and have to be a certain weight lol. I will confess I was teaching jr high in afterday school program and we played DB. I was plucking jr higher all game long lmao. Until I hit one in the head. I was 20 something, but boy I felt bad lol. That was the end of my DB days!

I remember PE class in HS every Tuesday and Thursday was Dodgeball day (after 15 minutes of running), no bad injuries in 4 years of that, sure you catch one with your face every now and then but just gotta brush it off and take the person out next time who got you.

The original thread topic was about dodgeball being banned in elementary school. Last time I checked, that ranged from 1st to 5th grade, so I took the median.
