my av title says "Actually, it is deniable"... what I meant was that it was subpar unfortunately. A couple of good songs on there but the beats are weak compared to "The Format" and some of the hooks are complete garbage that I can't believe made it's way onto the final album. "Parkin Lot Pimpin'" has one of the most passionate beats I've ever heard and AZ doesn't disappoint. But the hook is pretty atrocious compared to what could have probably could have been done instead.

Nottz' "Fire" beat IS fire!, but when Nottz is making your best ish, I'm skeptical. AZ's flow in the beginning of that song is also REALLY off. DID NOT see that one coming from AZ.

Overall it's still AZ and this grade is like a failure for him, but for the rest of the music world... it's pretty tough for AZ to work at a C-Level of rap.

            Re: fans of underground rap?

This is a post I wrote on another form on the topic of "Bashing rap/hip hop". The Metal fans had just got done say all Hip-Hop just sucks period.

If you are going to bash a genre, please actually listen to it first. All these people that say "any dumb sh*t could rap over a beat" is ignorant. You know what the inverse of that is? Any dumb sh*t could bang on a set of drums, play a guitar, or scream over a mic.

Good Hip-Hop is beautiful. Its poetry in motion. Good beats are as important as good lyrics. A good lyracist can inject you into a situation in a way that you can feel like you are there. I can listen to some Murs "Walk Like a Man", and relive the horror of his best friend being shot. The words he uses to convey the emotions are beautifully portrayed. Then I can put on some Lupe Fiasco "Paris, Tokyo", and experience the happiness he feels when he comes home from a long trip to see his girlfriend again.

Like wise, Soulja Boy is just talking sh*t. That is what people love to point at and say "oh thats just Hip-Hop/Rap, it all sucks like that."

You all like to group genres into a pot. All Hip-Hop is not about guns, sex, and drugs. In fact, not the half of it is. Would you Metal fans be offended if I said that all your genre is is screaming over a guitar riff?

Lets face it, the old-school will always be better than the new-school. Underground/indie is usually better than mainstream also. Would Rock fans want "My Chemical Romance" to be the face of their genre? Cause I sure as hell wouldn't want 50 Cent to be the face of Hip-Hop.

If I wanted to say "all Rock and Metal suck" I would, as a logical person, listen closely to the mainstream, and the underground of each genre before I form an opinion.

In closing, there are sometimes where you can't change someone's opinion on a topic. You could try as hard as you could to convince someone that your genre is good music, only to be shot down with "it still sucks."

That's a good post but it'll only be reached to those open enough to evaluate it as you put it to begin with. Considering the site we're on, you can see that it's true with pretty much everything as we've seen many similar battles with sports video games ("the game I play is better than the game I've never played before") and even sports teams ("that team will never be good so I never watch them"... and therefore don't know what they're missing).

Unfortunately it's human nature, but I definitely support fighting the good fight and trying to educate.

In August/September 2006, it was revealed that underground artists Banksy and Danger Mouse replaced 500 copies of Hilton's debut album in various UK record stores with their own parody remixes and cover art: Danger Mouse remixed the songs and gave them titles such as "Why am I Famous?", "What Have I Done?" and "What Am I For?" and Banksy has doctored pictures of her on the CD sleeve to show Hilton topless and with a dog's head. Along with completely reworked liner notes that included topless photos of Ms. Hilton slathered with slogans like "Every CD you buy puts me even further out of your league", Danger Mouse has replaced Hilton's original songs with his own remixes and given Paris Hilton has her own channel in YouTube which is currently the #34 most subscribed channel of all time on the service, with over 10,000 subscriptions and 2,000,000 views.

Someone please try to find a link lol!

First listen impressions (yes I went home at lunch)

Carry Me Home - Easily the top track. This one will be getting heavy rotation

Happy Mess - Very very solid.

                            Less One - It's alright

Not Another Day - Why is Slug yelling the background for the chorus?! I like everything else but WTF? Maybe it'll grow on me...

Good Daddy - Only 2 minutes...very chill. Classic Slug ending to this one...
