Sick *** concert. Played old and new stuff. Got to hear Little man, God Loves Ugly, and Guarantees so I was pretty damn happy. Great live show from Slug as usual, crowd was way into it too.

I've bene listening to the Nicolay and Kay cd again and I can't believe how much Nicolay switched his style up. You would never be able to tell that it was him if he wasn't half of the group.

lol, it's funny because I had no idea it was coming out and I was just at the store picking up my copy of When Life Gives You Lemons You Paint That **** Gold when I saw the new LB album. About to listen to it, I'm sure it won't disappoint.

For all my True School heads, the Wild Pitch Collection was added to Itunes. I was always a fan of Chill Rob G (Court Is Now In-Session), so I have been bumpin' the hell outta that the past week.
Peeps on here got on you for that? That's crazy. Truth is truth......hearing the same drums over and over again is annoying as hell. To me the drums can make or break a beat, and sometimes 9th's choices just pissed me off.

That's a great thing about Wild Pitch on Itunes (even though I don't mess with them too much). A LOT of classic material came from that label from Chill Rob to Lord Finesse.

The album "Iconoclast" by Ivan Ives that came out in 2007... is fire. I'm sad that I missed out on this in the late stretches of 07. The features are tight. The beats are energetic, and the producers, for sure, have talent. Ivan Ives is pretty decent, can't really complain when all the other elements are on point.

                                8.) "Your Glasshouse"
Slug: "I don't want to say it's trendy, but it's contagious for everybody to take issue with what's going on in this presidential administration. It's become the new thing, when even losers like myself started to pay attention to politics. That was a sign to me. But every time I've tried to say something socially worthy, it always comes off preachy, and I don't like being that guy. I never really did a great job of alluding to what the song's really about. For the most part, I think people are going to think it's about a hangover. My friend Tunde (Adebimpe) of TV on the Radio sings backup vocals on it. It's real subtle. I thought he stole the show from me, which is the only reason I turned him way down."
Okay, I'm a fairly intelligent guy, but I do not at all see the political angle to "Your Glasshouse." I've tried and tried, but I fail to realize the political commentary. Am I alone? I'm very into politics and take at least one political science class a semester, but Slug's attempt at political commentary is lost on me in this song. I love the song for what it is and I don't think it needs to have a political bent in order to be great.
