No. Ant typically performs with Slug. Brother Ali's usually brings BK-one or Rare groove. Toki Wright should be there- he's another Minneapolis cat that's pretty nice.
Cameras or guns, one of them is gonna shoot me to death.

Felt 3 is a HUGE letdown.

Aesop & Felt do not mix.

I felt like the entire album was one song of constant heavy bass with Murs & Slug trying to be louder than the bass.

They also "sung" together too much...f'n do your verses and keep it at that. I'm all for new stuff but I don't believe how they can honestly listen to this and think it's good.

Protagonists was a great start to the CD...but then every song sounded just like it...

Man I really want Atmosphere to put something new out here soon...

Cool, thanks for the response. I'm none familiar with those other fellows. I know there were a couple other names set to perform at this show but I can't remember them so I assume it's a few of those guys. They should all be pretty decent though, right?

Honestly man these undeground guys are phenomenal live. It'll be in a small setting and they will kill it.

I saw Blueprint, Abstract Rude, then Atmosphere.

I went for Atmosphere obviously but I was surprised by how great the first two sets were...

Even the damn DJ who was on for like 30 minutes before anybody else was killing it!

            I need to go again!

I saw that show out here in Dallas. Abstract Rude and Blueprint were very pleasant surprises for me. Great show.

I tried to like Felt 3, but I can't. I didn't give it a full listen, as some tracks I just skimmed through them, but I wasn't feeling what I heard at all.

This is old but I still can't stop listening to this song:

I wish RJD2 and Phonte would've done a whole Percy Miracles album.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

I am thinking they just decided to go in a whole other direction to bring in new fans.

They should of went 9th wonder since he has ties to Murs's best albums.

You were right on the money. I went to see Brother Ali at The Blind Pig here in Ann Arbor last night and he brought along BK-One and Toki Wright, who both came in and went to work. I'm not really an underground show veteran so I didn't entirely realize how accessible these guys would be. One moment I see Wright had dissapeared from stage, next he's hitting me in the arm because I'm not nodding my head strong enough to his music. Good stuff.

My one issue with the show (and shows in general) was how long it took to get to Ali. Wright came in and did his job (and I was glad I came early enough to see it) but I probably could have done without Evidence's (from Dialated Peoples) extended set. It began to drag a little.

It was a lot of fun to see Ali; he went through a ton of songs (old and new) then asked for requests. Someone shouted "The Truth!" but Ali turned and said, "Aw man I didn't bring the music for that" and I was dissapointed. . .but then he decided to just run his verse (and then some) a cappella and I was happy.

Post-show, Wright and Ali stuck around and mingled with people at will. I thought it was really cool how Ali appeared so engaging with all of his fans face-to-face. He seemed thankful, modest, and sincere with everyone he came in contact. It felt much more authentic being able to chill with the artist rather than being shooed off by security detail.

Felt 3 is so terrible I threw it out of my window while driving because it was unbearable to listen to.

I gave it 2 or 3 full listens and it sucked every time.

I haven't heard anything from it yet but what was so bad about it? Is it the production? I usually like everything Murs and Slug put out, so this is disappointing to hear.
