Yeah I saw that a few days ago. The RIAA sucks.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Other than Danger Mouse, does anybody know who else is working in the Underground Animals group?

Ignore this post, this ain't hiphop. It sounds nice, but it ain't hiphop...more on the lines of triphop-pop.

Reminds me of a poor man's version of Thom York's Eraser.

Artist: Talib Kweli ft. Jean Grae & Strong Arm Steady
                    Album: Blacksmith: The Movement
Producers: J-Dilla; Kanye West; DJ Khalil; 9th Wonder; Madlib

I lied. This cd is actually pretty darn good, but it will take you time to realize this. So don't fret when the cd ain't that hot on the first spin. It is chalk-full of beats that have a nice quick tempo, and can be used to partayyy. Talib is still lyrically gifted. Jean Grae isn't at the top of her game though. The cast featured on the set performs well. Xzibit's track is one of the best songs on the album. The best song won't make your top 10 or even top 100 of all time most likely, but the whole album evens itself out nicely, and is worth a listen or two... or 10.

Not sure if they quantify as underground but I was introduced to a group called The Sol.illaquists of Sound yesterday.

I like their sound and was wondering if any of you have heard of them? If not, you can listen to some of their tunes on MySpace. I believe you can search by their name, maybe just Solilla.

This isn't a shameless plug and I have no affiliation to them. I would be curious to hear some opinions though.

Yeah I've had their cd for a few months. They're pretty good, the girl who sings sounds like a jazz singer and Swamburger is a pretty good rapper. Oh yeah, they have a pretty good band too.
