    Blue Scholars... "Bayani"

Blue Scholars are a rap duo from Seattle, with one MC, and one Producer, like Gangstarr, Blackalicious, or Pete Rock & CL Smooth...

This cd is absolutely amazing. The beats are incredible. Smooth and feel-good type, and the rhyming ain't too shabby either.

I suggest giving this cd a look if you haven't...

I usually only grade CD's that I purchase, because then I would be grading millions, and it's easier to justify an album's worth after you paid money for it, but this cd gets an A+ ... no doubt.
I just mentioned the Bayani album on the page before this. But yeah, it's a really good album and the production sounds completely different from the "Blue Scholars" album.

Rhymesayers pissed me off. I've e-mailed them twice asking them about my Brother Ali preorder (I still haven't received it) and I haven't gotten any reply. WTF.

Not too often. I have a friend who is a hip hop junkie, and have bought a few through him. I don't know enough about underground to know where to get the albums.

                    downloading Bayani right now.

I heard about these guys from Jmood, but I didn't know they were coming out with a new album. Man...I gotta stop working so much.

                      Brother Ali preorder update:

I got an e-mail today telling me that they were sorry for the delay and that my order has (finally) been shipped. I had also ordered Ali's other CDs and I forget exactly what the big preorder promotion was, but apparently I'm getting a "bonus item," stickers, and an autograph.

                      Freakin' finally!

I like the Strange Fruit Project but there's only a few songs on that album that I like.

Haven't heard "Lost Documents", anyone got it?

Sounds like it's like "The Healing"... I think Strange Fruit has Super-talented rappers, but S1 is not a good producer in any way. That cd was a let down. Loved "Special" tho... great production by 9th Wonder and then that other song by Illmind.

well I liked The Healing alot better than Soul Travelin', and yes Lost Documents has a similar sound to The Healing. Anyway, I PMed you a link to Lost Documents, but the tracks are separated on it, just one file.

If you got it from where I think you did, I have the .cue file for it which will seperate the tracks.
