Re: fans of underground rap?
Artist: Talib Kweli
Album: Eardrum
Producers: Hi-Tek; Kanye West; Rick Rubin; Midi Mafia; Kwamé; DJ Khalil; Madlib; will.i.am; J Dilla; Pete Rock; Just Blaze
10 songs in a row up to "Electrify" starting from when the cd first starts spinning is spectacular music. It's about time Talib! Lately, Kweli has sounded awkward on his latest work, and I think it's the lack of the right tempo for his unique flow. This album does a very good job of getting his flow down, up until the 11th track "Hell" which probably describes what it's like to listen to Talib's flow on that song. It's actually sad, because the rest of the album after track 10 besides "Listen" is pretty terrible. This album could have been something extremely special if Talib avoided putting those songs on. Too bad the advanced copy doesn't include J Dilla's dedication track produced by Dilla himself. This album is definitely worth having, and it looks like Talib is well on his way to making Blacksmith a cornerstone in hip-hop.- Grade:

Re: fans of underground rap?
As far as that Talib Kweli Eardrum goes, the song to download is without a doubt, The Perfect Beat f/KRS
But the whole album is pretty sick.Last edited by the_future420; 06-08-2007, 12:08 PM.Comment

Was Eardrum supposed to be the album with just Talib and Madlib or is that something else?Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
