      Artist: Steele
      Album: Hostyle Takeover
      Producers: N/A
      Release Date: July 24, 2007

Boot Camp Clik is shaping to have a legendary legacy, or at least a lengthy one. It can get hard to keep track of all the stuff they put out, but if you can and you do get your hands on most or all of it, you won't be displeased. However, BCC's need of maintaining their hard image with the recruiting of beat makers who lay down serious-sounding but boring instrumentals gets tiresome when you hear Steele or Price or Buckshot absolutely annihilate a 9th or Khrysis beat.

Don't forget the importance of flow though. No one does it better than Steele in that department, but you can expect the same from the entire crew. The biggest gripe I have with this mixtape is that the longest song doesn't even hit three minutes. Most of the songs range around that two-minute area, and it gets frustrating because you are listening to a true-banger and you wish it would last much longer.

I haven't followed hip-hop at all since late '05, I'm definitely outgrowing it, or as others said it simply isn't growing with me.

I grabbed Common's album last night after I saw it getting trashed on various hip-hop sites for being an album full of love songs. First off it's the first album I've DL'd since Nas' last joint dropped and only the second since '05 ended.

It seems pretty good though, I obviously love the Primo track.

X-Cell ,I saw on the other page that CL Smooth is finally dropping a solo album, that outta be interesting. How else have things been going for the last 18 months in the underground (and for good mainstream artists)? It doesn't seem like I'm missing much.

Is there any news on Immortal Technique ever dropping The Middle Passage?

New Atmosphere track off of a five song sampler "Sad Clown Bad Summer No. 9".

"When Life Gives You Lemons . . . " is scheduled for release early next year.
Back in the NCAA saddle after 17 years.

Well, CL Smooth dropped a solo album in 2006, and this cd coming out seems to be a string of work that he's finally putting out there into the music business. It's about time, because nothing concrete put out there since The Main Ingredient is a travesty.

            The album from 2006 btw...

That cover is tight as hell... I thought they had 13 tracks... 11 seems way too short and Lil' Wayne!????

Dope cover, reminds me of something from 12 years ago.

They even have 10-11 tracks like artists from that era had continuously put out on their hip-hop albums. Bring back the golden age!

That's what the title "Getback" means, according to phonte, getting back to the basics.

We will see...They haven't disappointed yet.
