      Re: fans of underground rap?

I'm going to see a McNastee show Friday. He's another local guy who is representing Oklahoma hip hop pretty well. His latest album was partly produced and has appearances by the late Proof of D12. I was never a big D12 fan, but I'm glad he's at least getting a little bit of mainstream production. It can only help Oklahoma's rep.

I'm right there with you. He's got some great production on Relief and his hooks are usually nice (Choices being my favorite), but I have a really hard time figuring out what the hell this guy is saying half the time. It's not even like he's not talking complete jibberish. It seems like from bar to bar, the concepts don't connect or are just completely silly. You're not the only one.

Whenever I'm listening to Median I usually end up switching to Lupe Fiasco. It's probably because they have similar voices, but I'm always more satisfied with what Lupe brings to the table than Median. Lupe is pretty much my Median 2.0, except without 9th Wonder. He's got better lyricism, flow, and concept.

            Re: fans of underground rap?

Don't know the last time I made it to the Entertainment forum over here so I missed this thread. Anyone interested in underground hip hop should check out our site (in my sig). We're still building it out so feedback is welcome. Definitely looking for some artists with video that want to get their stuff out there on a specialized platform (unlike youtube or myspace) so point them our way too.

This is just the beginning so please hit me up with feedback, suggestions, or for help.

Mods, I try to be sensative to the promoting thing so let me know if this is the wrong way to put it out there... hope to see you guys over there too.

What album are you all anticipating the most in 2008?

For me it's easily Foreign Exchange "Leave It All Behind"
